About this project
tech@mikeShouts: "docks for iDevices are a dime a dozen and yet there are none that offers flexibility in angle adjustment. it is a seemingly small detail but yet you’d be hard-pressed to find one dock that allows user to adjust its angle of viewing when docked. the ATC Ergo Dock aims to offer this extra functionality"
PC Mag: "The ATC Ergo Dock makes your iPad's angle adjustable for the perfect view"
Just Another Geek Site: "I have tried several docks, and without exception I have to pick them up to line up the dock with the port on my iPhone or iPad. I would love to be able to just slide it into the dock"
We are proud and excited to introduce the world to the ATC Ergo Dock. Trying many of the docking solutions out there we were unsatisfied. For such high quality devices the current docks are subpar as they are made from flimsy plastic, issues docking/undocking and do not look good. After many discussions we knew it could be done way better and did exactly that. We had a vision to invent the ultimate docking station for Apple products, such as the iPad/IPhone: basically any Apple 30 pin connector device. This is like getting 2+ docks in 1. Since the iPad footprint is larger, other Apple 30 pin devices are compatible.
This is the very first aluminum docking station that is ergonomic. The ergonomic viewing angle is adjustable for the perfect view. Docking and undocking iPads and iPhones is easy with the streamlined 30 pin connector. It flawlessly charges and syncs as if Apple made it themselves. With video conferencing applications like Facetime the audio acoustics are superb as it's crisp and clean.
To enhance its visual appeal it will be bead blast finished like the Apple products that you are accustomed too. Rock solid, built like a tank, it is a piece of fine metal art. No matter where you put this it looks awesome on the desk/charging area/night stand and even in commercial applications. Not only does it look good it is also extremely functional.
The ATC Ergo Dock has been a labor of love for nearly a year. Many revisions went into this. We now have a production ready prototype that is shown in the pictures and video. Without a doubt we wanted to make the ultimate dock to show off your Apple device. Our dock is made from aircraft grade 6061-T6 aluminum and CNC’d to the utmost precision.
Please pledge and spread the word about our project to make our ultimate docking station a reality. With your help we are excited to get our product into your hands. We have fantastic rewards for you backers to the right. The pledges will be used for purchasing raw materials, tooling, CNC machining, bead blasting, anodizing, rubber feet, 30 pin connectors, packaging and shipping. If we exceed our funding goal we will explore additional options and features for our dock.We say “our dock” as this is now a collaboration between us and the Kickstarter community. All comments and feedback will be reviewed.
It is important for us to keep processes in the Pacific Northwest. The ATC Ergo Dock is designed in Washington and made in Oregon. We believe every dollar that stays in the local northwest makes a difference.
We whole heartedly thank you for taking your time to look at our project.

There is 30 degrees of movement so full upright is 90 degrees and tilted all the way back is 60 degrees.
Yes and yes! When we were making the video and taking pictures we were using the iPhone so didn't realize there wasn't a pic of the iPhone docked. Just snapped a pic and on here now.
Yes as we have the new iPad OEM dimensions.
