Shortly after the publication of Faerie Fire, we were approached by the wonderful folks at the DOTS RPG Project with advice on how to make our books more accessible. DOTS is a non profit organization creating tactile dice, including fully braille polyhedral dice. They've built (and continue to build) a network of accessibility-friendly publishers, developers, conventions, and locations--and we've been lucky enough to find ourselves now counted among that number.
It's thanks to DOTS that we have the resources we need to not only make Faerie Fire and Witch+Craft more accessible, but also we can delightedly announce that both books are being translated into hard copy braille editions. Faerie Fire is already well in development, and Witch+Craft will be following in its footsteps.
We even have a screencap of what the braille manuscript for Faerie Fire looks like in development:
In DOTS' own words:
DOTS is empowering the visually impaired as well as individuals with other disabilities to run, play, and experience the magic of table top role playing with complete independence.
We're so grateful to DOTS for their incredible work, as well as their advice and support in making Faerie Fire and Witch+Craft more accessible to everyone. Thank you, DOTS!
