SILVERSTUCK: The Filigreed City

The largest settlement of Cape Verdigris is Silverstruck, a rich town settled on the western slopes of Inkwell.  While all the municipalities in Cape Verdigris work together to negotiate trade and exchange resources, Silverstruck is the only settlement important enough to have any sway with the politics of the mainland.

With access to the mines deep in Inkwell’s sides, Silverstruck has become world-renowned for its metalwork and gem-cutting. The people of Silverstruck are much less flamboyant than their neighbours in Cascade, but the town is far from mundane; its streets are lined with merchants peddling the most brilliant mechanical inventions, and houses forged from impressive stonework all feature filigreed gates and dazzling stained glass windows. This has earned it the nickname "The Filigreed City" (a name it has boasted for years, despite the fact that its population has only recently warranted the "city" part of the moniker).

Silverstruck will be illustrated as a full page setting by Cleonique Hilsaca, an artist whose work we're so thrilled to include in the book.

Silverstruck is run by Mayor Gustavia Krana, a statuesque elven woman serving her first term as Silverstruck’s elected leader, after spending 7 years as the head of the city's clockmaker’s guild. She is in her early 40s, and dresses in practical but well-tailored suits. She uses a cane for mobility, and is capable of casting floating disk for extra support, when needed. She runs Silverstruck with bold, decisive action, eager to prove herself worthy of the voters’ trust.

Mayor Krana will be illustrated by Ver, and feature prominently in the adventure module included in the book.
