That's true, but the case of SYF is a bit peculiar. We have already achieved a massive amount of work with close to no funding whatsoever. The bulk of the game is done: we could conceivably wrap-up some of the game's rougher edges and ship it asap on Steam... but it won't be very good.
With "just" $20k, we can get dev kits for all consoles to test cross-platform play and other essential tools we can't get otherwise. With more, we could support financially our team members so they can quit their part-time jobs and focus on SYF full time. We could make a game that people will love. We've been at it awhile, we know very well what everything cost. We just need your support.
