In Deja Vu: Fragments of Memory, players act as the Cosmic Spirits - some kind of mysterious "quantum beings" that travel across the universe, collecting intangible, metaphysical "Fragments of Memory" that scattered in the void.
You are going to help a nameless girl retrieve her lost memories, and bring them together into a coherent mental picture in her mind through Deja Vu revelations.
On the way of rediscovering herself, the nameless girl will come across six amazing alien worlds, and get the help from her adorable Cosmic Companions.

Important: This game has a theme of memory, but it is NOT a Memory Game. It belongs to the categories of Set Collection and Tableau Building.
The most fascinating feature in Deja Vu is a “Binary System” in which you manage two completely different but seamlessly interacting mechanisms at once. To win the game, you must perform well both tactically and strategically.
In the tactical part, we use a developed version of the ancient “Mancala” mechanism that was brilliantly reintroduced in modern board game by Bruno Cathala in Five Tribes. Players collect wooden tokens on the map with various combinations of color and shape, and both the color and shape are essential to success! The process of collecting is a pleasantly perplexing mind puzzle.
In the strategic part, players use the wooden tokens they gained to add cards to their tableau, building up their “card engine” which serves to generate Victory Points, reinforce resources collecting ability, and improve the engine itself. Should I increase my selection of cards first? Or create more space to save up my resources? Maybe I should plant more Cosmic Flowers? Balanced and efficient long-term planning is the key to victory.
The central Cosmic Map, besides being a place to hold resources, is also a playground for a contest over the precious “Memory Fragments” which, when paired with the right cards, can earn an enormous amount of Victory Points for you!
Easy to learn, fun to play, deeply thoughtful, with a beautiful theme, this is Deja Vu.

Packing: Every copy of the game will be shrink-wrapped and packed well in a durable carton before leaving the factory, and we use fulfillment centers with reputation. We will take extra care to make sure the games arrive to our backers' hand in pristine condition.

Asteria Games is a Hong Kong board game publisher started in 2016. Terry Cheung is the owner and Lead Game Designer of the company.
Our first board game Fallen Angel has gained the love and confidence from our backers, so we are encouraged to contribute more to the board game community.
Our proficiency in game design, mass production, and backer caring are well proven.

Currently we have set 8 SGs, with the 2nd last one marked at HK$280,000 - about a double of the current funding, which is generally easily reached at the last day. So we are likely to reach all out SGs - If you would kindly spread the word.
The first 3 SGs are upgrades to existing components. Later ones would include some additional goodies.
Everything Linen Finished: We will apply it to every card, every tile and the box. Linen Finish can reduce unfavorable glitter and reflection on the cards, And increase the friction on the Nebula Tiles to let them stay in place well.
We upgrade the plain white paper insert to a full color printed insert, making the whole product more complete and consistent.
On the back of the deep blue Nebula Tiles, we will design a "heavenly white galaxy" color version, so you can choose a lighter or darker background depending on your mood.
A little bag for storing and randomizing the wooden bits. It will be a bag of flannel texture and with short string around the opening that is commonly seen in some other board games.
A 5th player compatibility: for the scenario that there are 5 people in your game night, and the majority wants to play Deja Vu. The designer will work on a set of tailor-made rules to optimize the game duration, down time and struggle over resources.

Tailor-made Plastic Insert: upgrade from paper insert, to let everything sits comfortable in the box. Tiles will stack nicely, enough room for cards even after sleeved, and space for different types of tokens.
Solo Rules: What if I suddenly want to jump into the dreamy world of Deja Vu but the time is midnight? This Solo Rules can help. In this 1 player variant, your opponent is the Impression Deck. Before the deck is depleted, you need to help the nameless girl collect her "complete memory" (a whole set of 7 Impression Cards) of at least one planet, or else her conscious shall get lost in the maze of her own mind.

Anti-Slip Table Mat (KS exclusive): What if someone bumps into the table and the Cosmic Tiles get messed up? Not a question now!
Material for the mat is not finalised, we're still sourcing. But we will ensure the outcome to be decent to look at and serve its function well (holding the tiles in place).The dimension of the mat will be set carefully to suit most cases of layout (by actually testing with playtesters). Its color will be black, with a small game logo in the middle. On top of a black background, the Nebula Tiles will stand out and look even more fascinating.You can also use the mat in other games too!
Printed Storybook - The English version of the game fiction will be printed on paper, and it will be printed separately (not as part of the rulebook).

This SG is a bundle of 3 SGs, and its target is set at an amount roughly equal to 500 copies.
Currently in average we have 40 to 70 new backers per day, and we believe some bigger pledges will be made later, and a surge in the last few days is common. So 500 copies should be a reasonable goal, and it will be more easily reached with your continued support and sharing!
Full Co-op Mode: Many backers love to have a Full Co-op Mode, and many excellent ideas and suggestions are there in the comment section. We are going to produce a set of enjoyable Co-op rules for you.
Ivory Core: Upgrading the cards from grey core to ivory core, to make them more durable.
Wooden Bit thickness: In our latest sample, a thickness of 5mm is good, but 6mm provides a better grip for people with bigger fingers, at the same time not affecting the aesthetic aspect.
