Frequently Asked Questions
I'd like to buy two copies of DLAB2; Should I add just £30 to my pledge, or should I double the shipping too?
Yep. You can get multiple copies by adding the amount for the book you want + the amount for the postage of that item.Last updated:
For Art Books we rank 3rd, 4th, 5th and 8th most popular Kickstarters in the UK
And we rank 21 in the world last time we checked :D
At this time there's no plans to make a PDF from book 2. Joan (a kind backer) has sent over some ideas for something in future so it could happen at some point. If you sign up to our site www.drawlikeaboss.com then you would hear about whether anything changes on this front.Last updated:
Currently no plans for the softcover for this addition, again this might change but rigth now we're focused on hardbacks.Last updated:
Hi - Could you provide more details on the new book? What are the sections? (Mountains, Trees, Valleys, Caves, etc.) Total size of book? (#of pages) How big is each section? Any differences between layout vs. book 1?
Hi Manny, Currently there are just shy of 200 pages but this figure may go up before the files reach the printer since we still have some time to add content should we feel it requires it.
The sections involve everything to do with the themes of tree and mountain. So, the tree parts will be drawing a twig, a leaf, foliage, to entire wooded areas, background trees, foreground trees, spooky graveyard trees, bark texture etc.
Mountains sections will have us drawing stones, boulders, walls, Mayan lintels, large mountain panaramas and a large everesty-type mountain. Clouds may come into this too since they are quite an important feature in landscape pictures.
Caves.... that sounds good. You may see a cave demo. I hadn't thought of that.
Layout is similar to book one although this time we don't see the reader as having no prior knowledge of drawing, so we do pick up a little from where we left off in Book 1. Having said that, there is a recap that goes over some critical methods that are discussed throughout the book.Last updated:
Weird that you ask... I have a whole deck drawn up that never got manufactured. I suppose we could throw the idea out at some point to make a new deck.Last updated:
Hi, I am a backer of Book1 from Japan. I would like to back a book2 too.But it's look like you not ship to japan. Do you have plan for shipping to japan in the future?
I guess it depeneds which part of Japan you're in. The price can range very differently depending on location there. Give us a shout abotu where you are and we can potentially price it up for you to consider.Last updated:
Is there any chance this book could to shipped to Japan? I backed the first Draw Like a Boss book years ago and am excited to get this new book.
We'd love to have books in Japan, Unfortunately the shipping price is just too high at around $50 in some provinces... £70 in othersLast updated:
We might have overlooked your country by accident so give it a shout and we'll check the postage rate and add your location.Last updated:
The shipping cost goes off the total weight and given this is a massive book, unfortunately the cost can be high to some faraway countries. We have used cheaper alternatives in the past and to be honest, hearing of damaged items, parcels left out in the rain or parcels that have been thrown around is never a good thing. We use a good dispatcher who ensures everyone is happy when shipments arrives to housholds.Last updated:
Hi it looks like shipping individual books (1 and 2) to Australia is £20 each but shipping of the 2 book bundle is £45 ? (I under stand they will be shipped seperate but not sure why it’s £5 more?).
Well spotted. One book to Australia is listed as £20 but this is actually a mistake on our part. It's more to ship a single book but we didn't correct it in time. Someone backed the tier and made the correction no longer possible.Last updated:
