Trailer and Sheffield Doc/Fest Premiere

Dear backers,

I'm very proud to announce that after ten years in the making, Worlds of Ursula K. Le Guin will premiere at Sheffield Doc/Fest in Sheffield, UK on June 10. Doc/Fest is the UK’s finest documentary festival and one of the top worldwide, and we think it's a great debut for our baby. I'll be leaving the real babies at home for this one, and leading Q&As for each screening at the fest. If you're in the area, I hope to see you there.

More festivals in the U.S. and around the world will follow in the fall. We'll keep you posted on those dates as they roll in.

We're also very excited to announce that the film will be broadcast on PBS American Masters in 2019 (exact dates TBD). We'll keep you posted on the timing for the advance streaming link as we get closer.

We did it! Thank you for helping make this possible.

Wonderful! It's bittersweet -- like the panel I was on a few days ago at an SF convention, a panel dedicated to Ursula, with three generations of female writers, her, well, literary children --, but the doc is there at last and I can't wait to see all of it... (BTW, I've kinda forgotten exactly what we'd get for contributing (apart from the heartfelt pleasure of having contributed to Ursula's legacy, I mean :-)). Could you please remind me ? Thank you.

Thrilled for you. The trailer is much as I imagined it only better -- marvelous first word: "Magic." Eager to see final product. ::: Currently, rereading "The Left Hand of Darkness" and this tree-loving translator's early angry favorite from the late sixties: "The Word for World is Forest."
Thank you so much for making this documentary!
      Best wishes
