ABC Local News: “The online marketplace [ArtLifting] has certainly lifted the spirits and hopes of many artists who are homeless, low-income, or disabled.”
The Boston Globe: “Artists who have barely eked out a living by selling their creations on street corners, at craft fairs, and at open-air markets now have an online marketplace to sell their art.”
BostInno: “City Heart and ArtLifting have done more than just showcase pieces – they've helped launch careers.”
Risks and challenges
We have worked hard to make sure that our expansion runs smoothly. If challenges arise, we promise to be transparent and work to find solutions immediately. One potential challenge is a delay in connecting with the right decision-makers at each city’s homeless shelters and disability centers. From our experience in this field, we know that program directors want to support their artists, but they often are spread very thin. That’s why we believe we need to travel to each city and help make the onboarding process go smoothly.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
