Wow!! Thank you everyone - We made our goal!! Scroll down for STRETCH REWARDS!!
Whimsical artist Noelle Dass is an award winning painter and humorist using a combination of animals, geometry, color, science, and guile to create images that make people laugh at the quirkiness of life and the world around us. Noelle began her art career with paintings and prints and then expanded to T Shirts because so many people "didn't have wall space." Noelle's first run of T-shirts has sold out and now Noelle is expanding her T-shirt line with 7 new designs. You can choose from the new designs or the original batch of designs.
With your help I'll be able to fund these 7 new designs! Not only that, but I'm printing these on 100% USA Grown and Manufactured Cotton Tees. Your pledge will be a preorder so I will be able to pay for new screens, homegrown shirts and hopefully equipment! Every bit helps and I'm eternally thankful!
Unlike other companies that say they are made in the USA but use imported cotton, this company grows the cotton, manufactures it and stitches it in the USA creating and sustaining jobs here in America! Shirts will be screenprinted right here in Eugene, Oregon by a super awesome team of screenprinters using the latest, best and safest screen printing inks!
The 100% made in the USA shirts are men's (unisex) but I have an option for women too - 100% certified ORGANIC cotton. All backers of this project have the early bird option of choosing your shirt color. If there are any guys out there that aren't satisfied with the shirt color choice for the Made in the USA shirts, you do have the option of switching to Organic Cotton for a few more choices.
These are the 7 designs currently on the plate and all packages will be delivered in time for the Holidays! (Hint Hint: Great gifts!) You can choose from one of these new designs or one of my original shirt designs viewable here.
Please note: the background color you are seeing represents a shirt color. Actual shirt color choices are represented at the bottom.

THE SEVEN NEW DESIGNS
ABOUT THE REWARDS...
I'll be offering stretch rewards at different amounts if we go beyond my $5000 goal. This is tentative, more will be added as I do more research into costs :)
All BACKERS - everyone gets a color MUST...GET...BALL Vinyl sticker approximate size is 3x5" ish.
$20+ pledges will have your 8x10 print(s) matted in a white or black mat, which makes it ready to pop into a standard 11x14" frame.
$50+ pledges - you will have the option to upgrade one of your shirts to a Hoody or Tech shirt for NO ADDITIONAL PLEDGE AMOUNT. Additional upgrades of more than one will be offered for $15. (Hoody Manufacturing Company still needs to be researched so I can't say much about that at this time). If you want to adjust your pledge amount you can log in and modify it.
All pledge amounts - A second full color vinyl sticker.
$50+ pledges - you will get a set of FIVE 5x7" greeting cards (blank inside). There will be 5 designs which I will choose from my top five bestsellers of my Artimals Gallery. I have had many people ask for greeting cards but I have not been able to produce and sell them at a cost effective ratio. If we get to $7000 mark I will make a special boxset for Kickstarter backers only.
I will also add an 8th New T shirt Design as an additional choice and some of the designs available as kids shirts.
$8000.....Well now, this would be awesome, but I'll wait and see :)
I'm open to more stretch rewards ideas, just send me a comment or email to email@example.com.
PS. As I mentioned in my project story kids shirts double the cost because they count as a brand new production run because the size of the image has to be made smaller (and therefore new screens). So I AM defintely going to make several kids designs, I just need to figure out how to fit them in...
The postcard will be signed on the front and blank on the back, printed in full color. It will be sent in a protective envelope so you can mat and frame it or mail it to someone. What you see above on the shirts has limited color, the postcards will have full color as shown in this sample. Or you can choose a postcard of the original painting from which the design was derived.
THE TOTE BAG
The tote bag is being printed only for backers. You will have your choice of design and tote bag color. Details of the tote bag are:
- 600 denier polyester
- Large main section with small interior self-fabric pockets
- Left side exterior pocket
- Web handles
- Dimensions: 12"h x 14"w x 6.5"d
8x10 " ART PRINT
This is a high quality print on acid free archival heavyweight paper that will be hand signed in a gold or silver pen. You can have a print of the actual shirt graphic in full color OR a print of the painting from which the design was derived such as shown here. All paintings can be viewed on my website at www.noelledass.com
LIMITED EDITION GICLEE ON CANVAS
A giclee is a high quality, archival reproduction. They look so good most people think these are the original. These will be a very small limited edition run. You can choose either a shirt graphic or a giclee print of the original painting from which the design was derived.
Your choice of men's, women's, US Made Cotton or imported Organic Cotton. Explained above. Sizing measurements will be sent in the follow up if the project funds. You can also choose from my first batch of shirts or my kids shirts that I already have made. Click here to view.
ORIGINAL ACRYLIC OR INK AND WATERCOLOR PAINTING
This means its not a copy or reproduction and that it is actually painted by me.
A very special visit to the artist's studio, where the magic happens!
What will the funding be used for?
Funding will go towards the cost of new screens for these images which have never before been printed, the labor costs of the super amazing team to actually do the screenprinting in my hometown of Eugene, Oregon, to pay for the 100% Made in the USA or organic cotton shirts, which are twice as much as imports or non organic, and the cost of packaging and shipping these orders to you. $5000 is just about enough to break even and it means future reorders of shirts will cost me less and you will all have more shirt choices.
If funding goes really, really well?
If funding goes super duper well I would like to purchase my own printing equipment so I can offer you even more choices - a particular design on a particular shirt color and since my costs would be less I can offer them to you for less but still on great quality t shirts that are soft and comfy.
If funding goes above and beyond my wildest dreams? This is my 9th year creating art that "makes people happy." Those aren't my words, those are the words of my fans whom I see every year at Art Festivals and galleries. Your funding allows me to keep doing this - to pay for my studio, to come up with new designs, new paintings, new shirts, and to keep donating a portion of those to animal and people programs. I wouldn't be here without you and I'm grateful and humbled by your support!
Are there shipping costs?
Shipping is included for all domestic orders. For international backers, please add $10 to your pledge. It's pretty spendy shipping overseas and this won't cover the full amount for some of you, but I'll cover the rest.
Are these available in kids shirts?
If all goes well kids shirts will be available at a later date. They are not included in this project because it would literally double the cost of production since the images need to be resized smaller which causes them to be priced as a separate production run by the screenprinter. If this projects funds well, I'll use it to add the new designs in kids shirts too, because we love kids.
How do you come up with your designs?
Each design begins as a concept doodle in my sketchbook. I have hundreds of these but only time to paint a select few, which are chosen to progress past the sketchbook. The first requirement is they have to make me laugh. If it does, and I feel a kinship with the critter, I then sketch it onto a canvas and paint it using layers of acrylic paints and varnishes. Designs for t-shirts originate from my sketches or paintings and are simplified to a more "graphic" appearance.
Why do you paint animals?
I love animals, they make me happy, they're cute, lovable even when they're not. They make the world a better place.
How did you come up with your style?
When i was a student In art school I learned the same foundation as many students - composition, design and color harmony. But it wasn't until later, years after, that my creative voice became liberated enough to paint whatever the heck I wanted. And what I wanted was fun, happy, colorful, whimsical art that made me smile. I wanted something unique that I had never seen before. And this is how the Artimals were born...
