The 13 digital comics : Created FOR the screens (using the same method - invented by Yves "Balak" Bigerel - from our series Pax Arena, The Walking Pandas - you can read them on Thrillbent - and our future Marvel Infinite Comics). It's not like your everyday scanned comics. Those digital comics will be available for FREE on Mark Waid’s Thrillbent website, from september 2013 to the beginning of february 2014. We’ll also put them - DRM-Free - on Torrents, Warez forums etc on PDF & CBZ so that you can read them easily on your Ipad or Android tablet...
YES. EVERYBODY WILL BE ABLE TO READ THE 13 DIGITAL COMICS, FOR FREE.
How does our digital comics look like? Well:
Check out The Pandas Show Pilote Episode on Thrillbent:
Exclusive bonus editions of the 13 digital comics will be available through ComiXology. Each ComiXology episode will feature redeem codes that will allow you to play the 13 Games (on PC/Mac/Linux),
What kind of Games are we talking about? Example: In one platform game, you play Rick from The Walking Pandas, who has to fight against Justin Bieber's zombies fans and defeat the big-boss: Michael Jackson.
Three other games from season 1:
- Breaking Panda: A Game&Watch kind of game in which Walter White must protect his RV from the police by throwing meth to them. Also, Chuck Norris is the final boss.
- Panda Games: A 2D-FPS where Katniss Everpanda must kill the Games of Pandas fans that appear on screen. The Boss? George R. R. Martin who throw huge Games of Pandas books in your face. Tsss. That guy.
- Panda Wars: Episode XVI: Let's deal with it once and for all: Spock wants the Emperor JJ Abrams to pay for his betrayal: you don't leave the Panda Trek movies like this . Run & Gun in the style of Metal Slug.
(we'll have more stuff from the video games during the Kickstarter)
All the digital comics from season one will be adapted on paper and collected in two editions: the classic one (full color, 200 pages) and the Kickstarter Special Edition (with a variant cover and more than 100 pages of bonus content!). We'll print each book in English AND in French.
Also: The tradepaperbacks will have a foreword by MARK WAID,
He's the writer of Daredevil, Incredible Hulk and Kingdom Come and the big boss of Thrillbent.
What we want above all is to be able to continue to put free digital comics all over the web. For that, we need help to do a better/ bigger work. For that, we need to hire friends, to get ourselves some time off work. For that, we need you.
Geoffo was in the “Best of IGN 2012″ Selection and won the Reader’s Choice Award at the Stumptown Comicfest (Portland) for his work on Vic Boone (215 Ink). He graduated from the animation school LISAA, where he directed a short movie called Black Sun. His eclectic artistic style adapts to the project he workis. Now working on Turbomedia, Geoffo extends once again his graphic range and develops new ways of working and drawing. After Pax Arena and The Walking Pandas, he's now working for Marvel on their Marvel Infinite Comics line.
Mast has been working on the web since he was a little 16-year-old punk (recently on “Watchmen 3″, French webcomics “L’Affaire DSK”, “Gonzoo” and “La Synthèse des Auteurs BD”). He organized the Lille Comics Festival for seven years, which taught him how to handle big budgets & stay awake during two consecutives weeks. His work is closely linked to Geoffo's, since Mast is the writer of Pax Arena and The Walking Pandas, for Mark Waid's Thrillbent. He's been recruted by Marvel to work on the storyboards of their digital comics: Marvel Infinite.
Doki worked on three short animation movies (Le Mangeur de Visage, Dent Molle and Le Moine et le Mandala) and was a graphic designer and animation cleaner at Ankama. She recently worked on the animated series "Aux Trésors de Kerubim", broadcasted since January 2013 on the french public televison.
She's working with Geoffo on The Pandas Show's art, so we can release a new episode every two weeks.
That's for the comics part of the project. Doc Géraud and Kilirane, with the help of Geoffo, will create the games.
After graduating from Isart Digital, a Game Design School in Paris, where he directed, programmed and design two 3D games and made several little ones, Doc Géraud decided to spend a year to improve his artistic skills by attending courses of 2D and 3D graphics.Freelance game designer when is not studying, he tries to bring some creativity to his clients : bank, airline compagny... He worked and design games on several platforms, experimenting with Playstation Vita, Kinect, Nintendo 3DS and smartphones. Truly convinced by the marvelous power of the independant game scene, he spends his free time working on games and participates in many game jams (Global Game Jam, Ludum Dare ...). Still, the man has really simple tastes and love cats, which is the subject of one of his next games ! You can also find DocGéraud on youtube there and there..
Kilirane graduated from the same Game Design school in Paris as Geraud, where he made the game design, code and music on a party game and a shoot'em up. He worked for a year as a freelance, one hand on the serious gaming in collaboration with a museum, the other on the website design. Antoine had the opportunity to work on PS3 and Xbox 360 productions, including as level designer on The Tour de France 2012 and Pro Cycling Manager, working at Cyanide studio. He currently carries out projects of independent games on PC, and occasionally participates in game jams. Retro gamer, he co-founded the French Association Retro Game Space, which aims to maintain, preserve and repair the old systems, and video games. He participated in the organization of events around the retrogaming. He often finds his inspiration there. Kilirane will be the composer of all The Pandas Show games Soundtrack.
And, finally, our beloved agent and artistic counsultant:
Gewel is an artist and musician in Austin Texas. She specializes in painting and ceramics, but also has a passion for writing and improvised music. She currently attends the University of Texas for a BFA in Studio Art.
She's been a frequent collaborator with Mast & Geoffo on Rocksalt Magazine, as well as being an invaluable artistic consultant for The Pandas Show. Check out her fantastic website!

Risks and challenges
We have run the numbers over. And over. And over again. We can assure that we're asking for what we need, rather than what we want, to make this Kickstarter campaign work. We want to have fun doing it, but we also want to share this experience with our backers. And one of the main concern for us is: will we be able to do everything we promise to our backers? The answer is yes.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
