Hey Everyone! First off, let us thank each and every one of you for your support and belief in this game. We know it’s not easy to give money to something that you can’t pick up and hold in your hands, so thank you, thank you, thank you!
We just showed Adrift at the Boston Festival of Indie Games this weekend, we even hung out with some of you there, and the response was more than we could have ever expected. People were lined up all day, just waiting for a chance to play the game, it was crazy and exhausting, but it was so awesome at the same time.
Watching teams of people get really into the game and working together to take down that pirate boss was exactly what we wanted to see happen when we started making this game. It was a super validating experience for all of us here to see people having so much fun playing a prototype that we made in just 2 months. Our only regret is that we didn’t have more laptops with us for people to play on!
Everyone we met gave us great praise, feedback, and seemed to have a general urge to play a new cooperative game. We realize now that we have definitely not played up the cooperative survival aspect of Adrift enough in our Kickstarter video, so in light of this new revelation, we are in the process of making a 6-player cooperative video. All of you should be able to see the chaos, insanity, and ridiculous fun that 6-player mode brings to the table. Look for a new update and video in the next few days!
For now, here's us showing the game at Boston FIG and thanks again to all of you from the bottom of our hearts!
