My name is Aleksander. I'm the Designer and Creator of Magnetic Carrying Cases for Miniatures, and I would like to invite you to our newest Kickstarter Campaign, which allows us to produce and bring the most iconic magnetic cases in the world to market!
A-Case is a small brand producing revolutionary magnetic carrying cases, dedicated to tabletop gamers. Thanks to lightweight and solid design it allows you to transport your miniatures in a compact bag. The brand was founded in 2015 and since then we have successfully produced and delivered thousands of cases to gamers from all around the globe.
Our previous experience gives us a solid knowledge, and we have learned lessons about global projects and challenges that they bring. We have learned that bringing a whole new product to market is a very challenging prospect. Forging even the best ideas into real products is not possible without money. We have designed and built fully functional prototypes, which has already consumed thousands of dollars, and now we are ready to make the next big step - to produce and deliver not one, but 3 new Models of our fantastic new cases to you! This is where you come in - by helping us to reach the campaign goal (or maybe even higher) we will be able to produce these cases on a larger scale. The collected funds will cover all required costs for production, and help us to bring awesome products to market.
Meet A-Case Hybrid
The A-Cases Hybrid Series are lightweight, durable and elegant bags which allows you to transport and store your miniatures without breaking or damaging them. Thanks to magnetized bases, the miniature sticks to the metal trays and stays in position without touching anything else. This solution gives your models maximum protection, and allows you to reduce the space needed when compared to traditional cases.
The A-Case Hybrid gives you a new way of thinking about storage and transportation for your miniatures. It contains different industrial materials that are a testament to our promise of uncompromising quality. By using lightweight aluminium alloys, cleverly shaped steel, and water resistant thick weave fabric, we have built a Hybrid. A product which will serve you for years, if not decades!
This is a continuation of our first model which was developed 5 years ago. This case is dedicated to fans of skirmish games which use less miniatures, however even fans of bigger systems may see it as an interesting option for them. The Victory 2.0 has a solid lightweight aluminium frame which gives maximum protection during any kind of trip. It fits perfectly as a carry-on luggage, and won't bring you any trouble with Airport Employees.
There are 6 slots for the metal trays which gives you full flexibility by adjusting the shelves to the right height. Between each slot there is 30 mm space and each tray can be used from both sides, which can give you an additional 10 mm of height. Each tray has a lock in mechanism which protects it from sliding unexpectedly and holds it in place. The frame and the trays are "wrapped" in a water resistant fabric with a handy pocket for add-ons, and a adjustable strap with a shoulder pad. In front and on top there is a Velcro strap which allows you to attach all kinds of badges. The whole set is finished with a handy handle!
This is our Medium Size carrying case dedicated to people that need to transport a larger amount of models. It can easily hold a 2000 points army and at the same time comes in a handy and very portable package. The Messenger has solid lightweight aluminium frame which gives maximum protection during any kind of trip.

Whoa! This model is definitely the biggest one we have ever built. It is huge! A big case for fans of epic armies and Large models. It holds up to 5000 points and knowing our community, you will find a way to pack even more! The Beast has solid, lightweight aluminium frame which gives maximum protection during any kind of trip.
There are 13 slots for the metal trays which gives you full flexibility by adjusting the shelves to the right height. Between each slot there is 30 mm space and each tray can be used from both sides to give you an additional 10 mm of height. Each tray has a lock-in mechanism which protects your models from unexpectedly sliding, holding it into place. The frame with trays is "wrapped" in water resistant thick weave fabric with one enormous huge pocket in front, one in the back, and 3 additional on the sides for any kind of add-ons. The cover has a detachable strap with a adjustable length and shoulder pad.
The case has hidden functionality - it can transform into a backpack. By opening the back pocket, you get the access to hidden padded straps. By clicking them into the snaps, it becomes a freaking awesome (and truly comfortable) Backpack! In front and on top there is a Velcro strap which allows to attach all kinds of badges. Whole set is completed with a comfortable handle!
Shipping costs will be calculated based on the actual weight of the parcel. We collect the funds for shipping after the campaign.
Delivery in the EU with UPS (delivery within 5 days after shipping), max 30 kg in one parcel.
Delivery outside EU with Polish Post via Priority Air Mail (delivery up to 7 weeks), max 20 kg in one parcel.
PLEASE NOTE! This is very important. We will be able to send only 300 cases/parcels per month (in waves) Depending on scale of this campaign, there may be a different amount of waves (The first 300 would be considered Wave 1, the second 300 would be Wave 2, and so on and so forth). The first wave should be sent out December 2019, January 2019 for Wave 2, and we will continue onward until we are finished. As much as we would like to say that it would first come/first serve - there are some logistical issues with that due to the complicated nature of having different sized cases shipped to us - especially in the circumstance where a backer is picking up two or even three different sized cases.
CUSTOMS DUTY FEES! For our EU and US supporters the goods are duty free, however in case of our US backers, one parcel cannot have a value than $800 USD. This means the largest bundle we can send in one parcel are:
4 x Kane Cases (about 19-20 kg and valued under $800 USD) or
8 x Victory 2.0 (about 15 kg and valued under $800 USD) or
5x Messenger ( about 13 kg and valued under $800 USD), and a mix of cases which can't be heavier than 20 kg, and have a value of more than $800 USD.
As you can see we have no bundled rewards. It is because by pledging more than one case per backer, the price of the item stays the same (we have priced the cases as low as we possibly could), the savings start with shipping costs. By purchasing more items, the cost of shipping will go down per item.
International shipping can be very challenging and because of our past experience, we decided to ship outside EU only with priority air mail (it still consumes a lot of time, but the risk of missing the parcels is much lower than by non-priority shipping. In addition to this, non-priority mail can take up to 6 months to arrive. It costs far less than priority mail, but it is a bit of a gamble, and that is not a game we want to play with our cases! At this point, it is still unknown, but by reaching a higher number of US supporters we may get some special conditions and will be able to offer a Courier Services to US with some better conditions.
Within the EU, all parcels go out with UPS Courier Service which let us be sure of a relatively fast and secure delivery.
As with the rest of the world, we don't know what will happen after the 28 of March in reference to Brexit. We are not sure if there will be an agreement in place that allows EU companies to treat Britain as part of the EU, so this means that we will provide our Supporters from Great Britain with rewards as other Supporters out side EU.
We are a crowdfunded company, very much dedicated to our customers – our designs are always an outcome of gamer feedback and months of research, design, and manufacturing. Our priority is to keep products’ quality and durability as high as possible, within the fairly price.
Why are we better than others?
We know the value of your miniatures – the fragility of these small pieces of art was our main concern when designing our cases. We wanted to develop a carrying system which doesn’t expose miniatures paint layer to damage (as opposed to traditional cases), keep them in one piece while transporting and also, allowing you to quickly pack & unpack your miniatures while in a hurry.
Risks and challenges
There is always an element of the unknown when running a campaign. Depending on how well a campaign ends there may be different types of risks associated with the Supporters as for the Creator.
This is not my first campaign and I have learned a LOT about what can go wrong. The main risks for the backers are as follows:
1. Failed Campaign: This basically kills all risk for the backers and the creator, but we hope to not have this problem.
2. Data and money collection: The main issue is time - The longer it takes to collect the data and money, the longer it takes to meet the projected delivery date.
3. Production delays: Even with best manufacturing facilities and proven partners, delays are still possible.
4. Timeframe of delivery/Missing Parcels: As experience has shown me, to avoid this kind of issues the only way to ensure a successful delivery date is is to use a courier company, or using priority air mail services of national posts offices (we estimate under 5% of all parcels sent this way had some issues).
Main challenges for me:
1. Very short period of time to mange "tons" of data
2. Fast production of great amount of items in a very short time
3. Currency exchange rates
4. Production and shipping costs
5. The management of comments, updates, and private messages during the Campaign and during Fulfilment period (this is a very critical point - as I learned slow answers are taken personally and no one likes to be ignored).
Please note, as much I would be happy to have you as a backer, but this is not a shop. By taking a part in this campaign, we all take a part in an awesome project, which can be very emotional at some points (doesn't have to be, but it can be all the same). I'll do my best to deliver your cases in an efficient but timely manner, but please do not forget we are all just humans and mistakes can happen.
REFUNDS! Life is a river and the longer I live, I understand this sentence even more. There are many different situations that might arise, that is why if you have to cancel your Pledge, you may do it without any consequences until end the campaign. After we have collected the funds, you still can do it - however you will only receive 80% of pledge amount paid. WHY? Because of fees and provisions which are related to this campaign. I want to point this out very clearly to avoid any unnecessary stressful situations for you and myself.
