ALEX PRIEST is a five issue mini series created by Jenn Arledge and illustrated by Scott Malin. Issues 1 - 3 have been successfully funded and fulfilled through Kickstarter, so we're back with issue 4.
Other than an all-new issue? :D
With this issue, we've brought in the best the Pacific Northwest has to offer. Issue #4 features cover artist Jeffrey Veregge (Red Wolf, Transformers, G.I. Joe), a variant cover from the award-winning Russ Richards (Disney, Marvel), and sketch covers from Kevin McCoy.
Our fourth issue also features updated lettering from Davis Rush (Black Gold) and brand-new series four trading cards.
Those of you who have been following this series from the beginning know that Alex Priest #1 was originally a make/100 campaign. Our goal was to print 100 comics. Though the campaign was a(n overwhelming) success, we didn't hit our make/100 goal. This time around, we're aiming for a community goal of 100 backers. To mark this, we're producing a limited edition, Kickstarter exclusive print that will only be available to the first 100 backers. The print will be post card sized and mailed even to digital backers! So backers at every level can benefit from our make/100 initiative.

"This first issue of Alex Priest sucked me in immediately..." Kleffnotes
"Alex Priest had me wishing this was an animated series as I flowed from one panel to the next in a well-constructed layout." Shaun Barbour

You can pick up collectible variant covers - both past and present - or even a one of a kind sketch cover.

"Woah, hold up. Why is your Kickstarter goal higher than the last two issues?"
Issues are costing us a little more to produce. We're paying artists more this issue than previous ones, and we're paying a letterer for this issue (and following issues). So for issue four, we're asking for a higher goal, that way we can better pay the people making the issue possible.
We've updated our lettering all the way around! Letterer Davis Rush has given Alex Priest more uniformity, clarity, and some wonderfully stylized balloons.

Risks and challenges
This is our tenth (wow!) Kickstarter, and each campaign has ended successfully. The current issue is finished and ready to send to the printers. So we'll be able to print and ship as soon as the Kickstarter ends! We have well established relationships with our comic and print vendors, so quality control and staying within our budget shouldn't be an issue. We're excited to share our latest installment with all of you.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
