About this project
Power suits, weapons, and rocket launchers—it’s football like you’ve never seen before. Touchdown: Armor League is a fast-paced competitive game where football meets action arena shooter. Players equip fully armored power suits and fight for control of the ball in an intense online 6v6 arena. Make daring saves, obliterate your opponents, and score the winning Touchdown! Touchdown will be available on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.

In Touchdown: Armor League, each team is made up of 6 players. It’s up to you to carry the ball past the enemy Touchdown line by any means necessary to win your team points. Blast opponents out of the sky, use rocket boosters to create sneak attacks, and even fully obliterate enemy power suits. Show no mercy.
Teams score a point every time they make a touchdown. The team with the most points after a 15 minute match wins the game. It’s fast-paced, skill-intensive, and will require your team to work as one to win.
Gameplay is dynamic. Possession can change quickly and an offensive play can suddenly become a defensive one. There is opportunity for both flawless teamwork and individual displays of awesomeness.
Now that we’ve got the basics down, let's cover the Shootoff. At the start of the game and after each touchdown, the ball is released from the top of the stadium and both teams will race to get it towards the enemy touchdown line. Anyone can attempt to grab the ball at any time, including rushing for it in midair. If the opponent has possession, the only way you can get the ball is by stunning your opponent, intercepting a pass, or outright destroying their power suit.
Passing in a game of Touchdown is a true measure of your skill. You can make a pass by charging up a gauge that determines the distance and trajectory of your throw. Once the ball is thrown, multiple things can happen. Opponents with sharp aim can shoot the ball and disrupt the pass. Speeder suits with jetpacks can try to intercept the ball and catch it in midair. Unlike in traditional football, fumbles do not stop the game. Instead opponents can immediately take possession of the ball and try to score their own touchdown. So make your passes count, contestant!
We want the contestants to be able to tactically customize their gear. That’s where mods come in. You'll have an assortment of mods to choose from, like having increased speed by adding a booster mod, padding your armor with a health mod, or even speeding up the self-healing process with a heal rate mod.
Grenades are shaped like footballs, right? You’ll need to perfect your throws with grenades as they’ll require a skill-based toss just like the football. Not only are there grenades to damage your opponents, but there are also special ones that can blow opponents away, breaking up opposing formations, and aiding plays.
Touchdown is fast paced. That means there will be no time for you to visit the locker rooms if you’ve got a scratch on your helmet or if your leg is blown off. You’ll need to find health packs around the field or wait around until your suit begins its self-repairing procedure. You can add mods to your suit to help with healing, but don’t go in expecting there to be a medic on the field to help you.
Each of the sports-approved power suits you’ll see in the arena is equipped with powerful abilities that will greatly impact the outcome of the game. One of them is the stun—usable only by larger and stronger power suits. If a ball carrier is hit by a stun, they will momentarily lose control of themselves and drop the ball, creating an opportunity for the opposing team to retake possession.
Another ability is the grappling hook, which can pull players towards the suit wearer. This allows teams to initiate major plays such as pulling opponents into an ambush, or even pulling friendly ball carriers towards the enemy’s touchdown line. Which suit will you choose to help win your team the game?
The most important decision in Touchdown is choosing what type of suit to wear. Whether you want firepower or lightning speed, choosing the the right suit can make or break the game. Below is a breakdown of the in-game suits.
The Speeder is the direct descendant of the wide receiver and running back. It is equipped with light armor and extra boosters. If the Speeder receives a pass past the touchdown line, the Speeder must land with two feet in order to score. This means you can use rocket launchers to destroy the Speeder’s suit before they land (they can’t score if they’re missing a foot) to stop them.
The Speeder’s weaker armor and health makes it a poor choice for defensive roles. In addition, the Speeder has a high skill cap, making inexperienced contestants more prone to making mistakes and creating turnovers.
The Commander is the perfect balance between agility, health, and power. This allows the Commander to react to numerous conditions and initiate plays. Commanders can use rocket boosters for short bursts of speed that allows them to charge into passers. Their ability to quickly charge up their passing gauge allows for faster or longer passes.
A drawback of the Commander is that it does not contain skills to temporarily stun an opponent, making them weaker in defense. It is most suitable for newer contestants due to its dynamic play style.
The Shielded is inspired by the offensive guard and the offensive tackler. It’s a heavy suit with high health and armor. Most importantly, it has a strong shield that can be used to block incoming projectiles and skills. This shield can be used to protect a Speeder rush or a ball handler preparing to pass.
Rocket Launcher Suit
The Rocket is inspired by the cornerback and safety. The Rocket sacrifices medium armor for a giant rocket launcher array. Launching a whole barrage of rockets, the suit is one of the most devastating suits in Touchdown. Knock Speeders out of the air or divert passes to your hands with your rocket bursts.
Your loadouts can be adjusted to your individual play style. A wide range of weapons are available including grenades, mines, rockets, precision weapons, and even melee ones. Mods include changes to rocket speed, abilities, and armor.
If the Touchdown league gets more funding than anticipated (and stretch goals are met), we’ll be able to offer even more awesome customization options to contestants like you. We hope to foster a community where contestants can share and strategize their favorite loadouts. What are you waiting for? Sign up for a team, recruit your friends, suit up, and get out there to become a Touchdown hall of fame legend!

If we’re able to pass our goal, different perks will be unlocked for everyone. We’re excited to see how much more we’ll be able to add to Touchdown with everyone’s support!
The main reason we’re turning to Kickstarter is because we need help in finishing the game! We love eSports and football, and we're hoping to bring this idea to life. We also want to have creative independence from publishers, so that's where your monetary support comes in.
We’ve currently built a prototype to test out the gameplay, and we have sample art done. It’s a fun game with tons of customization and variety between games. We lack the funding and support to take the game to the touchdown line, which is where you can help!
Through Kickstarter, we’re hoping to obtain the funds to finish the game and support our studio’s first launch outside of the Chinese gaming market. We want to go independent and share our innovative game with the international gaming community.
The money obtained from this Kickstarter will go towards:
- Building the game: with our past experience in mind, we estimate that it will take about 3 months of development work to build a playable alpha. In 6 months, the game will be in early access.
- Game testing and multiplayer: we want to make sure that the game’s final launch goes smoothly, so we’ll be doing lots of testing to work out any issues that can hinder the multiplayer experience.
- Backer rewards: about 10% of the funds raised will go towards the production of the rewards for our Kickstarter’s backers.
- Fees: Kickstarter takes 5% as their fees, while payment processing will take around 3%. This means 8% of the money raised will be used to cover these fees.
In any case, we really want to thank you for your interest in this project and taking the time to look through it!

Risks and challenges
As with all Kickstarters, there are associated risks that come with any project. Some could be delays to the deadline, technical issues, or health issues. We believe the biggest risk is Touchdown launching later than expected. But we’ve got a great team that has worked together on previous projects and we’ve had vigorous experience in keeping to a project schedule through our previous released games.
We’re good at making video games and bad at making physical products. This is why we’re keeping things simple and we're not offering T-shirts or other complicated backer rewards that could make the distribution process take a lot longer (apart from the figurines—we couldn't resist them). We're keeping it as simple as possible: support our project and in return we'll send you the playable game.
We can’t promise that other challenges won’t pop up, but we have prepared for them as much as possible to mitigate the risks. One thing we can promise is to keep our community updated with the latest news and updates!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
