We designed the DuinoKit Essentials project to be a simple, cost-effective development system for learning and experimenting with electronics and microprocessors.

Last year we created the DuinoKit Experimenter system and learned a lot in the process. My most common response was "Wow", "Overwhelming" and "too expensive". Our response to these comments was a slightly smaller, less expensive development system for learning electronics and programming.
DuinoKit is the "Easy" way to build, learn electronics and program with *Arduino!

Everyone enjoys inventing and creating... Our goal is to give some tools for helping this process! We have been developing this kit as a safe and easy method of learning Electronics and programming. After gaining a little experience in electronics, users will be able to move the projects away from the kit and build them into a stand-alone project. With this kit you will learn how to read and gather data from input sensors (such as an acceleration sensor, light sensor or temperature sensor), process this data and interact with various other output devices (such as LEDs, Liquid crystal displays and the serial port on your computer). When these skills are combined, the number of projects and ideas are virtually limited only my ones imagination.
The DuinoKit Essentials is an Arduino based development kit that focuses on basic electronic components and projects that will be easy to learn and invent. This project was developed to be en easy entry-point system to help teach and inspire learners for electronics and programming.
Design work and prototypes are completed. We have an in-house circuit board designer to facilitate rapid enhancements and changes. We have contracts and manufacturers ready for production and procurement. We have ironed out numerous issues that caused delays in our previous project and are ready for a rapid production of this project.
DuinoKit has been in touch with Mark Geddes, an Arudino author and builder. We have added a new reward to the DuinoKit project I think you will benefit from. If you are already familiar with Arduino and don't necessarily need the DuinoKit for building, this book offers some great new project ideas and tutorials to keep you learning and exploring. This full-color text is 188 pages with 45 interesting projects.
We are going to add in some components to the DuinoKit Essentials project to help make several projects featured in this book and many others. Additionally, Mark Geddes will be developing some specialized Learning Reference cards depicting some actual DuinoKit wiring and projects that will be available in PDF format after the DuinoKit Essentials project is brought to life. We feel this is a strong partnership and will bring life to both the text and the DuinoKit system to help learn electronics and programming. Risks and challenges
As we learned in the initial DuinoKit project last year, delays are to be expected. With this said, and our previous project taking MUCH longer then expected, nearly all of these unknowns have been resolved. PCB design work is now in-house, files are 100% complete and ready for manufacturing and contracts for production are already in place.
Our HOPE of the largest challenge will be fulfilling more than 5000 orders, however there is a plan in place for this "problem" as well. We want to get as many DuinoKits in schools, clubs and individuals hands as possible to help encourage our future engineers and entrepreneurs.
