BIG NEWS! We are dropping the price and relaunching the Kickstarter
We've been working hard on finding ways to bring down the price of our Gauntlets and we are happy to announce that we are going to...
Slash the Price and Relaunch the Kickstarter
- What are the new prices? All prices will be even cheaper than the current earlybird prices. We can't say exactly what they are yet, but expect a BIG price drop (you're going to squeal).
- Why are you relaunching? Two big reasons. The first is that we don't want to change the price after the kickstarter, that would be really unfair to all of our backers. Second, Kickstarter doesn't allow us to change the structure of the campaign after it starts, so we have to launch all over again with the new prices and structure.
- Will the rewards be the same? They will be much much simpler. Also, instead of bundling entire gauntlets, we will bundle different covers with the same gauntlet to bring down the price of each reward even more.
- What else will be new? We'll work on adding even more add-ons!!
- Do I lose my VIP status? No, everyone with VIP status will keep their VIP status for bonus rewards.
- When will the new Kickstarter be? We'll wait until after the holiday shopping season.
We are always available at firstname.lastname@example.org
Thank you all again for your early support, we're going to bring these amazing things to the world and now we can do it at a lower price because of your awesome enthusiasm.
- The Archvillains.
The patent pending Archvillain Gauntlets turn your D&D character sheets into works of art so you can feel connected with the most important thing on the table. Our design lets you use your character sheet in the same container that you store it in. With easy-access windows and a removable cover, your character sheet can help contribute to the feel of your game instead of taking away from it. Immerse yourself in the power of the Gauntlets.
Character sheet template on the front
Open or take off the cover to reveal the character sheet template. This means you can just drop in a blank sheet of paper and the template on the front of the case instantly transforms it into the world's most beautiful character sheet. The template is also compatible with a standard 5e character sheet. So, if you want to take it out and keep using it, you can.
Spell Sheet on the Back
The beautiful and functional template on the back of the Gauntlet turns an ordinary piece of paper into a functional spell sheet. Change spell slots and memorized spells directly on the sheet through the windows.
2 mm thick for easy writing
The face of the tablet is quite thin, so you can easily write on it and erase hit points during battle.
Lies flat on the table.
The decorations on the back of the Gauntlet are designed to lie flat on the table
Fits perfectly on a bookshelf
About the size of a players handbook, the Gauntlets are a great way to display your character sheets in their full glory along with your other gaming supplies.
You don't need your whole character sheet all the time. The Gauntlets show you the most important things you need to know to play while turning the rest of your character sheet into a beautiful and yet surprisingly practical accessory. These removable covers capture the spirit of the game while still showing stats, skills, and hit points at a glance. The rest of your sheet stays private and beautiful. Keep your secrets safe and make your character come to life by putting a decorated cover on it.
The covers are easily removed, making it easy to switch between character themes.
Covers have been forged with the same detail as high-quality figurines, offering a fun-to-paint process for those who like to paint themselves.
The Gauntlets aren't just for making your character sheet pretty, they're for actual use during the game. The tray lets you write directly on the character sheet without taking it out of the case while making it easy to remove and replace sheets while maintaining a nice snug fit.
The tray holds the character sheet and snaps into the tablet, blending with the template and the rest of the tablet. Use your standard 5th edition character sheet or even blank paper!
- The tray holds more than one character sheet - quite similar to a Bag of Holding
- An internal lip makes sure your character sheet stays put - see the "Paralyzed" condition
- Provides a smooth and hard surface to write on - imagine a "Wall of Force"
"Grant me the measure of a man’s heart. Quantize the power of a woman’s might, and on these tablets I shall entomb the secrets of their soul."
- Averof the evil genius
Our first funding goal of 30.000 USD includes the unlocking of the Character Sheet Tablet and the Fighter cover, now help us stretch beyond the shackles of mortals!
Want some extra goodies in your bundle? To select an add on, all you have to do is increase your pledge by the corresponding amount according to the table below!
We are launching our product with designs for the four most iconic character classes. Switch the cover for a new one when you want to roll with a different character class or theme. Each cover is professionally designed to represent the nuances of each class.
Crafting the gauntlets
The Archvillains had to make a choice when they set forth to craft the Gauntlets. How gorgeous did they need to be? What expense should be spared in their creation? In the end, we consulted the mystic oracles of Naghalthuur and they proclaimed that the very concept of Character Sheet Gauntlets meant they had to be the most glorious creations in order to absorb the souls of the multitudes and that if the Archvillains were to successfully overthrow the realms they would have to make them surpass all expectations.
This led us down the path of creating the most stunning gaming accessories that money could buy.
Real comments from mortal travelers in the Outer Planes of Social Media
Simply showing images of these powerful artifacts generated a condition known as "Squee" upon real mortals:
- "Pretty sure that is the dopest thing ever" - Facebook user
- "A swift progression from 'didn't know it existed' to 'need this yesterday'" - Facebook user
- "Holy... these are gorgeous" - Facebook user
- "Just see my bank balance dwindling with each second of this video" - Facebook user
- "babe, I'm about to have a nerdgasm" - Facebook user
Carved from the bones of a Balor Prince, the price of these artifacts was not paid in gold, but rather in the lives of the minions who sought to prove their worth to the Archvillains. These bones will be carefully cast in ABS plastic (what lego is made of).
We know that the power of the gauntlets is dependent on the quality of the painter's craft. One mistake in the careful preparation of the ornamentation could have disastrous results on their effectiveness as a spell focus.
We flew the artifacts to the distant land of Spain to have one of the greatest artifact painters in the world Sergio Calvo Rubio to create the sample from which all gauntlets would be made in the image of. These master Gauntlets serve as the template for future hand painted Gauntlets.
What he have invested so far...
We have poured our own blood, sweat and tears along with much of our victims' in order to bring the Gauntlets this close to the Prime Material Plane. Now, with your help, we will amass an army of loyal acolytes to bring this ancient power to the homes of the unwitting victims, that we might consume their souls and rule once again.
After many long and arduous sessions with the ancient artificer known as "Lawyer", the Archvillains were able to master the spell "Patent". Hundreds of other castings of the spell were researched, and countless pages of seemingly nonsensical drivel was compounded into the correct sequence of letters that would result in the ultimate protection spell that would keep the souls entrapped in the wicked device for all eternity.
We scoured the Underdark for the most skilled artificers and after many trials and challenges, only a few emerged worthy. We found our General and dubbed her "The Summoner" as she set forth with an army of Conjurers. They dueled long into the nights, sometimes they would emerge bloodied and disheartened, but back into the bowels of the Underdark they would go to fight creatures in the darkness and mold their bones into the image of the dreams of the Archvillains.
No expense was spared with the fabrication of the first of the unholy tablets. We used extremely high resolution summoning portals called "16 micron PolyJet 3D printers" to create the first Gauntlets that would serve as the demonstration of things to come.
Invading the Prime Material Plane
The precious samples of evil were shipped to distant lands known as France since it seems to be one of the few places in this realm with real castles. The gauntlets were photographed in various locations that would help lure and attract the minds of their future victims.
This ancient ritual of "marketing" is so crucial to the process that if it is not executed perfectly, and with the most expensive spell components, then the number of Gauntlets that enter the Prime Material Plane may not be sufficient to draw power from the Abyss and the invasion will have failed.
There is another artifact in this realm which sets the standard for extreme beauty and quality demanded of our artificers. They call them "Collectible Figurines" and the tales of their creation strike fear into the hearts of many Industrial Manufacturers.
The Archvillains knew that in order to make something that melts minds, they would have to bow their heads and pay homage to the ancient rituals of the Fig Casters in order to use the same high quality mould-making and fabrication methods used by the top Fig Casters.
Shipping will be charged after the Kickstarter campaign concludes, based on the actual costs incurred to ship. We will collect shipping fees via our pledge manager after the campaign has finished. As some orders will be different in weight, and number of boxes, we are listing an average estimate price based on each country or global area. We will be shipping all orders for a country or global area to a fulfillment center hub in that country, at our cost, with the exceptions of the listings for Latin America & Africa: those will be shipped from the USA. From the hub the orders will be packaged and shipped direct to the customer, making shipping less expensive. The more items purchased to each address, the lower the cost is per item to ship.
All shipping prices are an estimate based on the size and weight of our pledges and add-ons (some add-ons weigh more than others).
Shipping must be to a home or business address. We cannot ship to PO Boxes domestically or internationally.
Below are our initial rough estimates for shipping one Gauntlet. These are just estimates—costs may rise due to weight increase and optional purchases you choose.
- USA: $10 to most states.
- UK: $10
- CANADA: $12
- EUROPE: $20 to most countries
- OCEANIA: $15 to Australia and New Zealand
- ASIA: $10 to China, $35 to other countries
State tax will be charged in all states where applicable, including California.
Any pledges confirmed after our survey deadline will be shipped at a later date and will likely incur increased shipping costs.
We are unable to ship to PO Boxes.
Be aware that all pledges that are not confirmed after the pledge manager has closed, will be shipped from our US warehouse at a later date. For non-US backers that will likely incur increased shipping costs and fees. Please make sure that you confirm your order on our pledge manager before the deadline.
We reserve the right to remove any add-on from production and issue a credit or refund.
You must confirm your pledge within 8 weeks of our notification via email, otherwise we may not be able to offer you the shipping rates as outlined above.
To ensure that you receive your rewards in a timely manner, you must complete the pledge manager before its deadline. Otherwise we may not have enough stock on-hand to fulfill your order until a later date.
If you do not confirm your order during the pledge manager period, some items may not be produced in sufficient quantity for your pledge and may have to be delivered at a later date, incurring extra shipping charges. While we try to cover the customs charges in most 'shipping friendly' countries, we cannot guarantee that there will be no duties in every country covered by our 'friendly shipping' policy. You must agree that you are responsible for any duties or fees that may be payable to the relevant tax authorities when your package arrives in your country.

Risks and challenges
Archvillain Games have taken every practical step to minimise risks in all aspects of this Kickstarter and its fulfilment. We have chosen to work with the best companies in the tabletop market to deliver a quality product in a timely fashion. We have every confidence in our work processes and production timelines.
While all design and prototyping is done in USA, our production facilities are based in China. There can always be unexpected issues with anything produced in China, such as delays in; production, shipping, customs etc. However, we have chosen our manufacturer wisely, they are the leading collectible manufacturing company with over 20 years of experience in the industry, ensuring maximum quality. Archvillain Games will also personally oversee all aspects of production, and the high quality of the manufacturer’s workmanship and professionalism has given us every confidence in them.
We have an estimated delivery date of April 2019, but this is only an estimate and we hope to deliver earlier. To help us keep to that delivery schedule, we ask that you ensure all of your information is correct and up to date when filling out the Pledge Manager. Unconfirmed or incomplete information can make it difficult for us to plan production and logistics and may led to delays.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
