It has been a longtime coming and the moment is finally here; Archers Rise is endeavoring to record a new 5 song EP titled JUPITER BOUND! A journey that is itself part of a larger journey spanning the last two and a half years of our band. Many of you have been with us from the beginning and we are deeply grateful for your love and support. It has been roughly one year and five months since we released our self-titled, six track EP (listen below) with songs around one or two years old at the time they were recorded. We have grown since then as a band, as songwriters, and as individuals and we want to share with you our journey and our labor.
We have considered the known options available to us for financing a new project: try to get a record label to sign us and loan us the money, take advantage of a friend's offer for low-cost or free, low-quality recordings in their garage, work as much overtime as we can for a year while living on ramen noodles and MSG, or, and this is our preference, invite all of you to partner with us and fund this EP.
We could attempt this ourselves if we scrimp and save and cut corners and work in a high stress reality where the clock is working against us. But that is not a recipe for authentic music or any creative expression. Our aspiration is to create innovative music that will encourage people and connect us together. Music should intrigue people and inspire a curiosity to search out and investigate the wonder of life and the relationships that fill our days with joy.
Recording is the process which captures the sound of a band and brings that sound to the market for all people to savor and enjoy. Good recording won't create, but good recording will convey what happens when the four of us in Archers Rise come together in song. This act of capturing and conveying sound needs time and space; it can't be rushed, or held up for that matter, without choking the life out of the recording. Quality recording that expresses the identity of a band comes with a worthy price tag.
Also vital is the role of a good producer who understands who the band is and can help bring that identity out in the music. A good producer will cause bands to manifest and unleash their full expression without reservation. This is key in authentic music. But it comes with a worthy price tag too. We are blessed to have the opportunity to work with Jeff Schneeweis (Number One Gun) and welcome his interest in us and our dream.
We have 21 days to raise funding for the EP and recording process; our producer, studio time, associated travel and lodging expenses, additional instruments and gear, mixing, mastering, etc. Any funds contributed beyond our $3k goal will allow us to: 1) record more songs/music and 2) promote the album (get it out to as many people as possible) and perform live shows to support what we believe will be a trend-setting album!
We respectfully invite you to partner with us in this dream by becoming our record label! There is opportunity for everyone to invest something, from a single dollar all the way up to $3k. Keep in mind, there are some very desirable rewards for each contribution. Even if you cannot manage to donate anything financially, you can help us greatly by sharing our project with your friends. For example, post our project video to your Facebook!
Thank you all so much for you love, support, encouragement, and prayer. We are grateful Archers Rise is more than just a band to so many of you and that you are more than just nameless, faceless fans to us. We want you to take the captain's chair with us on this project and share this adventure every step of the way. Will you help us find the time and space to do something great? Thank you for taking time to consider our Kickstarter project!

Risks and challenges
Our busy lives present us with the biggest challenge on this project. Each of us have day jobs, responsibilities to tend to, and family to steward. Once we raise the money we will all be taking time off to focus on this album and distributing the rewards. We have an incredible producer lined up (Jeff Schneeweis of Number One Gun), a supportive manger to help with logistics, and a fabulous community who encourage us to serve with all of our hearts. We will pour everything we have into this project, it will be our baby. Of course the reality is, unless we raise every bit of our $3k goal in 3 weeks, we don't get one penny of your pledges! That may be the biggest risk of all.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
