Standard Razor vs. ApexDuo
You will immediatly notice the ApexDuo looks completely different than any traditional shaving razor on the market today, and that's how we built it! Our razor is re-engineered and redesigned for maximum efficiency.
Nowadays, the same shaving razor that you use on your face is also used on your body. Unfortunately, shaving more surface area like legs, arms, and chest, need to be treated differently and there needs to be a razor to handle that. Now There Is!
For The Face Or The Body?
The ApexDuo was originally designed out of necessity for a better body razor. Because the average shaving stroke on the ApexDuo is 4-5", it is not ideal for the face. Can it be used on the face? YES! But you will be using it only in one direction like a normal shaving razor which defeats the whole purpose and design.
For Women Or Men?
For Everyone! When we set out to build a faster, higher quality shaving razor, we knew the target market would be more women than men, and there is two reasons for that. #1 - On average, more women shave their arms and legs compared to men. #2 - There are already established companies like Harry's and Dollar Shave Club that focus more on men and their shaving experience. Women are no different and deserve to have a high quality, trusted brand that builds products they can use, and here we are!
The ApexDuo
The ApexDuo includes the following components, crafted in the USA:
• GRIP - Comfort grip, 360 handle in your color choice
•BLADES - Two independent, inward facing three bladed razors
•CAP -Handle Cap (Installed Upon Arrival)
•ARMS - Easy squeeze arms for fast blade replacement
Replacement Blades
The ApexDuo uses three advanced, A+++ Quality anti-friction blades that gently remove your hair with less irritation. A thick lubrication strip ensures skin comfort and glide. The cost of replacement shaving razors is absolutely ridiculous today. We understand businesses have to make money, but not at the expense of losing customers over 8 blades for $40. Our blades will be available for purchase at our online store after this Kickstarter at rock bottom prices that will blow you away.

Blade Sharpener
Because the Apexduo requires two blades, we do not want you to have to spend double the money on replacement cartridges. In fact, by drying your blades out after every use as well as sharpening them once a week, they can last over four months. Meaning, each package of the Apexduo with replacement blades is designed to last a year before you have to buy more blades!
Distribution Of Funds
We are a transparent company and believe our backers should know where their hard earned money is going. There are three main channels it will go to:
•Build Two ApexDuo Molds (Handle & Cap) - Approx $35,000
•Order Razor Package Components (A+++ Razors, Sharpener, Packaging) Approx - $10,000
•Hire & Train Staff - Approx $5,000
About The Founder
I was a high school and college athlete who regularly shaved my arms and chest due to not liking the look of my hair growth. Over time, the shaving process was taking too long, yet I was still looking for the desired result without getting laser hair removal. So, in 2012 the ApexDuo was born out of necessity, but was unable to be launched due to the costs of manufacturing and patent protection.
Fast forward two years and in November 2014, I had an idea. I would start another company which cost less to get off the ground, grow it, and sell it while using the profits to pay for the patent protection. I did just that! In 2014, I founded Space City Drones which grew extremely fast through word of mouth.
In February, 2016, I sold the aerial drone company like I planned, and used the funds to finalize designs and pay for patent protection. The final step is bringing this idea to the market which needs your help with your Kickstarter contribution.
Risiken und Herausforderungen
We have worked extremely hard for four years to ready this product for Kickstarter, full-scale manufacturing, and fulfillment, but here are what we see as the risks:
•PRODUCT ADJUSTMENTS• Pre-production prototypes have already been made to test and refine the product but it is not designed to perform like the end production product. The main adjustment that may need attention is connecting piece to the razor blades. To make sure that blade changing is as quick as possible, the arms needs to be able to flex to remove and attach replacement blade smoothly and that will not be known until the first injection molded handle is formed. Any changes will always be for the benefit of you, the consumer, and we will let you know exactly how and why any are made.
•VENDOR FULFILLMENT• Sometimes things go awry that can’t be planned for: a supplier misses a deadline, a machine breaks down, or a shipment gets lost. Those things could cause a delay. To minimize the possibility of vendor setbacks, we have at least one back-up supplier for each component, should the need arise to switch vendors.
•STAFF & PACKAGING• The ApexDuo from manufacturing to shipment has four main parts:
- The ApexDuo Handle
- The ApexDuo Cap
- A+++ Razors
- Packaging
When this Kickstarter is funded, all of these parts will be shipped to our warehouse individually. This will require quality staff members to assemble the razor with cap and razors as well as assemble the packaging box and secure the razor inside. We will make sure your product is handled with care from start to finish. Shipping fast will not be a problem as we already have accounts with USPS and Fedex.
