Bright Ideas: A Crowdfunding Almanac (Canceled)
What does the journey of an idea look like from inception to reality? Experience it in this beautiful, high quality, hardbound book.
Bright Ideas will be approximately 100-150 full-color pages, bound in a beautiful, premium linen hardcover. This will truly be a high quality book, and your coffee table will thank you. It will feature three components:
1) Exclusive interviews with the creators of dozens of Kickstarter projects.
2) Courses covering all of the major processes involved in bringing an idea to life (plastic injection molding, CNC machining, patent filing, and more).
3) Directory of experts (recommended by Kickstarter creators themselves) from countless fields involving manufacturing, packaging, publishing, and more.

If You Have An Idea...
Do something. An idea could change the world. The only problem is, you might not know where to start. Is your revolutionary idea ever going to leave the napkin it's most likely written on?
Unfortunately, for many, the answer to this is no.
We think the answer should absolutely be yes.
Each idea should be given the chance to experience the next steps. Revisions, tweaking, physical prototyping, and beyond. The stories and information in Bright Ideas will give you the inspiration needed to get there.
What The Funds Are For
We have been carefully planning and designing Bright Ideas for the last six months, and will only be releasing the final version if we can produce the book at the highest quality possible. Our goal is to print Bright Ideas as a premium quality coffee table book, featuring a linen hardcover.
We've teamed up with an independent bindery that does beautiful work, and we are very excited to be able to work closely with them to bring you the best possible version of Bright Ideas.
The funds from this project will go towards the initial production run of Bright Ideas, as well as the remaining design and layout work that is needed to complete the book.
You want to see Bright Ideas become a reality. Want to know what reward you'll get for supporting the project? See below, or check out the backer tiers on the right.
We are beyond excited to get Bright Ideas into your hands. It's our goal to meet a March delivery date, and you can see below how we plan on doing that. Even after the project ends, we will post frequent updates to show our progress.
Risks and challenges
We are employing the help of highly skilled individuals to assist us in areas of this project where we want to make sure the highest quality possible is achieved. While we enjoy tinkering with layouts and graphic design, we wanted to bring in professionals to help us exceed the standard we've set for this book. Our collaboration with designer David Barry (inventor of Frank) is allowing us to ensure that this process is completed under a sharp eye.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
