About this project
My name is Anthony Abis managing Director of Wild Horse Clothing, we have recently launched our GOT WOOD branded underwear made from bamboo.
After 20 years of being in business and being a father, I am extremely conscious of our environment and sending a message down to our younger folk, on how to synergise with the environment and yet be able to have fun in the process.
Bamboo when broken down is very like silk or cashmere.
Bamboo uses very few pesticides, is virtually indestructible and hailed as the new super timber having over 1500 uses.
Bamboo also gives out around 25% more oxygen than most other trees, making it one of the most eco friendly sustainable and natural products mother earth offers us.
Bamboo fabric absorbs up to 3 times its own weight in moisture and also has natural anti bacterial properties. Perfect for underwear and sports wear
Bamboo VS cotton
Bamboo is softer than its cotton counterpart for further comfort, uses less pesticides and also holds colour better offering less fading.
To quote a happy customer “ I have since thrown all my other underwear out since discovering your Got Wood bamboo underwear”
Our mission is to establish our business as an earth friendly company, producing and utilising global creativity, already our product has designers in Norway, marketing in the UK and manufacturing in the Far East , bringing the world together and a producing underwear suitable for all demographics.
As we gain momentum for our underwear, we are now looking to expand to offer a female range called “She Wood” another fun and Eco friendly range made from bamboo. This is why we need your help. This is an opportunity for the public to help us grow our brand, feel part of the success and also try out our products at the same time.
So thank you for looking at our Kickstarter pitch and checking out our Fun and Functional bamboo underwear.
Thank you to our small eco team who have worked on this project tirelessly to bring to fruition !
Risks and challenges
All businesses have risk attached.
Before we engaged we did case studies on our target audience, also we tested the market by launching our men's range, the challenge as all small businesses face is cash flow and educating people about the properties of bamboo. As an internet business describing the feel of this amazing fabric is not so easy on line however we are now establishing ourselves as a men's range and we have repeat business from existing shops. We listen to our clients and the message is clear......"what about us women" so now with the help of Kickstarter we CAN fulfil this market.
