About

Multitude of Voyces (MoV) is a non-profit Community Interest Company. We support underrepresented, marginalised and vulnerable communities through music and words.

The MoV Anthology of Sacred Music by Women Composers is a ground-breaking project: it brings together sacred music by high-profile established composers, young emerging composers and historical composers, both published and unpublished.

Learn more about our project here

Vol 1. SATB Anthems is the first volume of this brilliant Anthology, bringing women's sacred music compositions together for the first time in this way, making women's sacred music easily accessible to choirs and raising awareness of women composers through the ages.

Composers within Vol 1. SATB Anthems include:

Rani Arbo, Judith Bingham, Fanny Hensel, Imogen Holst, Sarah MacDonald, Cecilia McDowall, Maggie Nightingale, Elizabeth Poston, Gail Randall, Anna Semple, Undine Smith Moore, Ethel Smyth, Olivia Sparkhall, Greta Tomlins, Joanna Ward, Judith Weir, Janet Wheeler, Helen Williams and Alison Willis.

Each volume of the MoV Anthology of Sacred Music by Women Composers will provide a diverse selection of music suitable for use in concerts and in church services throughout the year.

More than 45 women composers are represented within these first three volumes! The first edition of all three volumes will be limited to 1500 copies. Don't miss out!

Vol 2. Upper Voices Anthems will be published shortly after Vol 1. SATB Anthems. It will include anthems by many more, established, emerging and historical composers.

Vol 3. Liturgical Works will follow bringing together a wide variety of liturgical pieces suitable for Anglican worship and for concerts.

To register interest in Vols 2. and 3. and for information about ordering choir-sets of copies of Vols. 1, 2 and 3 please email louisestewart@multitudeofvoyces.co.uk

Sales of the Anthology will help raise funds for our next inclusive project - Makaton Mass - a newly-composed setting for the Eucharist, to support adults and children with learning disabilities. for more information about the Makaton Mass project email louisestewart@multitudeofvoyces.co.uk

Our beautiful Anthology logo and cover was designed by musician and artist Caroline Grint.
