[This is the jumping point for me! If this project does not get funded, everything I have done in the past 15 months will be almost wasted. I will continue my struggles as an underground artist doing freelance work to pay the bills. ]
My name is Allen Pettenger, I am 19 years young. 15 months ago I moved from Illinois to Colorado on my 18th birthday to pursue my passion of graphic design and the arts. Since then, I have came a long way with my artowrk. It started out creating event posters, and doing small freelance jobs for clients; I have progressed into producing my own designs and marketing myself to sell these limited pieces of werable/collectible art. My freelance work has also expanded to bigger clients/companies and more often than not.
in December 2011, I began to channel my efforts into a Designer Brand that focuses on the artist, and not just the brand name. The outcome: Anonymous Creations.
April 7th I moved out of a temporary position (Bob's couch) and into my own apartment in Broomfield, CO. I love having time and space to myself to get design work done in a comfortable environment; but paying the bills on your own with freelance work and a part time job is not easy... :(
Anonymous Creations is currently in the process of gaining capitol to produce it's First Official Limited Apparel Line! One of the items I am about to produce is this snapback flat brim hat in collaboration with friends at Minds Matter Clothing (www.MindsMatterClothing.com) from Chicago, IL.
I designed the hat, utilizing my character/logo The Anonimal (see www.AnonymousCreations.com) with a wise makeover.
This is the jumping point for me! If this project does not get funded, everything I have done in the past 15 months will be almost wasted. I will continue my struggles as an underground artist doing freelance work to pay the bills.
The hats will sell online, in retail stores, and at festivals & events we will be vending throughout the summer.
I would really love to get this hat out there as soon as possible, I will post updates in a week or two with pictures of the sample hat when it gets here.
