"Anniversary" is a dramatic short film about an elderly gentleman who deals with the loss of his deceased wife on the day of their anniversary. In order to escape his loneliness he takes a drive , reliving his fondest memories of her. Ultimately his reflections reconnect him to his wife bringing him closure, peace, and the ability to let her go.
The inspiration for this film comes from our beloved writer Jessica's own experience. Her great uncle lost his wife to cancer and has been coping with her absence ever since. She hopes that the film's message will inspire and uplift others who have also endured the loss of their loved ones.
Sentimental Productions is a collaboration between students from the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) and Johns Hopkins University (JHU) in a Narrative Production class lead by filmmaker Matt Porterfield and cinematographer Allen Moore.
