Hello, Krosbackers!

We have lots of things to announce in this second update, so have a seat (or a glyph if you will) and let's do this!

First things first, thank you all so much! We completed the 24 hour challenge even before the deadline! As soon as we're funded, Krosmaster Blast will now come with 5 pre-painted minis, and that's just the beginning! You all rock!

Here comes a new Krosmaster!
Here comes a new Krosmaster!

We also wanted to announce several things regarding the Krosmaster Arena/Blast compatibility. As you already know, the next Krosmaster season, Gloomy grove, will be compatible with both games. We're glad to announce, that our latest, soon-to-be released Brother of the Forgotten Krosmaster season will also be compatible with Krosmaster Blast!

We'll share more information about this in the near future, as we're still figuring out the best way to make this possible. Please note this might become an add-on in the near future.

While this is extremely good news, we have something ever better to announce.

Drum roll...

Tadaaa!

All the Krosmaster Blast minis you've seen so far will be fully compatible with Krosmaster Arena! They will have their own printed profile cards for Krosmaster Arena in Krosmaster Blast, for free!

No need to trust us, just have a look at the profiles below:

While we're speaking about Arena, we'd like to share something else...

We met with Ysu, two times Krosmaster Arena champion at Essen Spiele last week and asked him some questions about Krosmaster Blast (version en français plus bas)

Did you get a chance to play Krosmaster Blastat the Essen trade fair? What was your first reaction?

Ysu: Surprising. The Krosmaster Arena foundations are still there, but having only two miniatures and a limited number of rounds is very unsettling at first. Right away, we realize that we're playing a new game that comes with its own challenges. It's not just a series of attack rounds; during our two games, we saw some calculated risk-taking, which was quite enjoyable.

Did you like any profile in particular?

Ysu: "Jayjay Ronimo" (the Iop, of course :D) has insane mobility, and can punish the slightest error by his opponents given his striking power. On the second map, he can cross the map, take two glyphs, and hit once!

What do you think about the addition of glyphs in Krosmaster Blast? And the other additions in general?

Ysu: Rather happy with the addition of glyphs. There's really a different dynamic on these maps and the area control objectives can be surprising given how fast the games are in terms of rounds. The game wants to be more dynamic, and the Krosmic Favors and Divine Challenges increase the advantage that one player can get over the other if they aren't careful. Another visible change is that in-game information seems more streamlined and more available to all players.
There could be many viable optics in terms of composition, given the limit of two characters and the presence of roughly twenty profiles. I'm eager to discover the different game modes, whispered about under the din of the Essen trade fair. They sound good!!

Ysu having a (Krosmaster) blast!

Did you take a look at the Gloomy Grove profiles for Blast? What do you think?

Ysu: I've already read and re-read them all!!

For now, I'm somewhat intrigued by "The Spinner", even though I have a soft spot for tile summoners.I think that this spider will make a lot of tricks possible, and that opponent placement will be crucial to avoid being crushed by her.

Finally, what is your overall opinion of Krosmaster Blast?
Krosmaster Blast promises to be a very good game that will give us a new vision of the franchise and create a new community with both old hands at Krosmaster Arena and new players of the Blast version. I'm sorry I only got to play two games, and I'm already eager to play again. Krosmaster Blast is something everyone can play, but manages to preserve depth of gameplay.

Thank you very much for taking the time to answer our questions!

Again, thank you all for your support, we've reached over 60% of our funding goal and haven't hit the first 48 hours yet!

Now, if you know us, you know we couldn't leave you without a small teaser...

"I can't wait to show these guys what I'm made of!"

Until next time, folks!
