This past week has been a busy one. I clocked in 80 hours in this week alone!
We moved in to our warehouse! We have soo much more room for activities and are a lot more efficient in the larger space.
Received our third shipment and moved two 18-wheeler truckloads in!
Shipping, shipping and more shipping!
Taking applications and holding interviews for the open positions on my team. We are currently working on upping our staff (right now I just have friends and family members who are generously donating their time to help), but due to the legal matters that have to happen before we can grow our team, hiring has been taking longer than anticipated. We hope to double our team by next week.
We manage to ship about 1500-3000 orders every day, this takes about 10 hours of solid work.
We thank everyone who actually reads our updates before asking questions and has been patient with us throughout this whole process, we really are doing everything we can and putting in a lot of time and energy to expedite the process and get these to you ASAP.

November 13: ~2,500 orders
November 14: ~7,000 orders
November 15: ~ 5,000 orders
Someone told me that they received their planner and they ordered in December. Why did they get theirs and I don't have mine?
We made a mistake and accidentally sent out a batch of 200 orders that we're placed in December. Their order was a part of that batch (those lucky lucky people!) We are sorry if anyone feels cheated, we are human and can't be perfect but we can try our best to do better and are back on track and triple checking all shipments before we pack them to make sure we are going in first ordered first ship order.
Again, are currently shipping orders PLACED on the following dates:

Why haven't you been able to answer my e-mail, Facebook comment, instagram comment etc. etc. etc?
I am sorry I haven't been able to get to everyone's comments, emails or messages like we usually do. As a business owner I am making hundreds of decisions everyday and one of the decisions I have made was to shift a large majority of my volunteers to shipping duty to get these planners out to you ASAP. I post weekly updates to answer 98% of the questions that are answered and many questions have been answered before or can be resolved by simply reading the FAQ's on our website.
Thank you for taking the time to read the updates and for understanding that as much as I would like to respond to everyone, we are only human with only 24 hours in a day.

Thank you to all of the people in our community who take the time to respond and help out other people by answering questions, being positive, and reminding others that my team and I are human and we are doing the best that we can with the situation that we couldn't foresee. We are trying to do our best to do 2 months of work in 1 month, and have been hustling this whole time to get it done. We REALLY appreciate it and celebrate whenever we have a backer or friend on Facebook speak up for us when we are so busy trying to get these out as soon as possible.

Hustlin': We have been working round the clock to get as many Passion Planners out as possible. More than 40 of my family and friends have given some of their time to help quality control, package, tape, stuff and so much more to churn through as many orders as possible. My core team and I have been putting in 12 hour work days everyday, and truly appreciate the outpour of support and patience from our backers and customers.
Preparing for our move to our warehouse this week!
Making daily visits to the post office to drop off thousands of planners (They have a mail carrier pick up everyday but we fill up her truck every-time, so we need to bring the rest to the post office)
Emails galore: We get about 1000 of these a day
Working on increasing staff: We are hiring our fulfillment team now!
December Shipments - YESSS!! All orders that had December delivery dates have been shipped! This includes 7,000 website pre-orders as well as Kickstarter backers who had rewards scheduled for December delivery - Over 9,500 planners in total!
January Shipments - are on schedule to be delivered on a first ordered first shipped basis. There are more than 55,000 orders for January with the website and the Kickstarter combined, so please be patient with us as we do our best to get them to you ASAP. Right now we are working on orders placed between 11/12-11/15 (there are about 14,000 orders in these 4 days alone).
February Shipments - Are on schedule to be delivered in February
Referral Program - Planners earned through the Refer 3 Get Yours Free Program will be shipped in February after February shipments

Why haven't you responded to my email/comment/message?!
Please rest assured that although we cannot get to every email/facebook message/facebook comment/instagram comment/kickstarter message/kickstarter comment, and that we are doing our very best to get back to everyone in a timely manner as well as ship as many planners out as soon as possible.
If we haven't responded to your comments, please don't be offended. We literally have more than a thousand inquiries every day and we must respond in a first message first serve basis. If you are looking for an answer to a particular question please read our most recent update, or our FAQ's on our website. We find that 95% of customer answers can be found in one of these ways.
You say "all December shipments have been shipped", I placed my order in December, does that mean my planner has been shipped?
No, when we say "all December shipments have been shipped" we mean all planners scheduled to be delivered in December have been shipped not orders placed in December. Your order was a part of the December shipment if it was either:
1) Placed on our website before 11/11/2014
2) An early bird backer reward on Kickstarter
When you placed your order on the website, you were required to check a box that verified that you understood your planner was going to be shipped in January and for Kickstarter backers, each backer reward had a clear estimated ship date. Sorry for any confusion.
How come I don’t have a tracking number?
Kickstarter backers did not receive a tracking number. But please rest assured, all orders that were scheduled to be delivered in December have been shipped, are insured and have a tracking number. The US postal service has been very reliable and if you are a December delivery domestic order and you do not receive your planner by next week or in the next two weeks for a December delivery international order, please email us and we will look into it.
We will resend tracking numbers for January orders within the next week or so.
Why doesn’t my tracking number work?
Some customers received a notification when their shipping label was printed. This does not mean it has been shipped. We wanted to print as many labels as early as possible so we could stick them on the appropriate packaging and shave off us much time in the processing time needed to get them out the door. Right now we are shipping orders on a first-ordered-first-shipped basis and are just starting on January. If your tracking number says that your package is still in pre-shipment, we are working on the orders that were placed before yours and we will get to yours very soon!

I ordered 3 Classic size planners, why haven't I gotten all of them?
We have had to separate orders of 3 Classic planners into two orders of 2 and 1 because all three of them do not fit inside one flat rate envelope. Don't worry! The rest of your planners will arrive shortly.
I still haven’t gotten my PDF! Where is it?
The Passion Planner 2015 PDF is available for download on our website http://www.passionplanner.com/2015download/ please make sure you read the entire page carefully for directions and information on how to get your PDF, as all the information you need is on the page.
For customs did you send the package as a gift or merchandise?
Because of Federal and International Laws, we must claim the package as merchandise because there was an exchange of currency for goods even though it is technically a "reward" on Kickstarter, it was still considered a sale. Sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused, but the law is law!

YAY!!! After much anticipation, we have finally received our first shipment and will commence shipping ASAP. LET ME JUST SAY... THEY ARE BEAUTIFUL!!! The updated shipment schedule and delivery times are are as follows (this is for both planners earned through backing on Kickstarter as well as ordered on our website).
We will be shipping all December orders ASAP. Because all post offices are closed tomorrow, we will ship them first thing on January 2nd, 2015. Domestic orders should arrive in 3-4 business days, international orders should arrive in 5-15 business days.
Will be shipped on a first-ordered, first-shipped basis throughout January. We cannot give an exact date estimate, but your planner will be shipped sometime in January. We can only ship so many planners at a time; but please rest assured, we are shipping as many as we can.
We aim to ship February orders within the first two weeks of February.
March orders will be shipped within the first two weeks of March. We may be able to ship these a little earlier, but we cannot guarantee it. This includes all undated planners that are now available on the website (they even are available with a Monday start!)
Please note that you may receive an email notification when we print the label, this is only in preparation for your shipment and your planner will not be shipped until scheduled.

Thank you everyone for your patience, my team and I have done our very best to deal with the unexpected delays at the ports and have been putting in 12 hour days for the past three weeks. We especially appreciate all the customers who have been very understanding through social media and have shared their support with us.
Usually I write a pretty long reflection for the year, but I've been so busy that I will have to do that later! But long story short, 2014 was one of the hardest but most rewarding years of my short life.

I signed the contract for our warehouse! Passion Planner's has a new home! We move in on January 9, 2015!!!
Working closely with my lawyer, accountant and financial planner to make sure everything is in order before the years end.
Communicating with my logistics company to figure out what can be done about the West Coast port slowdown
Started printing and sticking shipping labels for all the orders, we are about 10,000 labels in (this is NOT an easy task, if you ask any Kickstarter Project creator, fulfillment is the HARDEST part of the whole process)
Moved the office from the garage to the kitchen so we can store shipping supplies in the garage.
My shipment for December delivery of planners was suppose to arrive at my home on December, 10, and now 12 days later it has yet to arrive. I talked about this issue extensively in Update #7.
Although I have been asking everyday for updates, my logistics company hasn't been able to give me a hard answer, but has told me that the delay can last up to a 4-6 weeks. Meaning that, January planners that we're scheduled to arrive January 1 would be delayed even longer.
My $186,000 Gift to You!
First of all I wanted to say thank you to everyone who's been so understanding and patient with this unfortuneate situation, as someone who feels like I am juggling a billion things at one time, it always helps when someone lends a helping hand or some words of encouragement.
I hope it goes without saying that I really care about all of you in the Passion Planner community and that I always do my very best in everything that has to do with Passion Planner. Handling this unexpected port strike situation is no exception.
I want you all to have them as soon as possible, and am putting my money where my mouth is. I have decided to spend $178,565.00 of my own money to get the whole second order of 80,000 planners flown in by plane so we can get these to you by the end of January.
I really do believe that Passion Planner can be a tool that can help you change your life for the better. This means that they would bypass the West Coast port congestion, and arrive at my warehouse on the January 9, 2015. Guaranteed. Although it is going to cost $160,000.00 more than how much it would cost to get them shipped by ocean freight I think getting this to you ASAP is worth it.

We Still Need Survey Responses From 5,000 Backers!
We are about to begin the process of printing shipping labels for the first round of pre-orders. We still haven’t received survey responses from about 5,000 people, so if you haven't done so already please complete your surveys as soon as possible so that we may get your planners to you!
To access the backer survey:
1) Log into your Kickstarter account
2) Click the “Respond now” button on the home page
3) Fill out the linked form. Please make sure your shipping address is correct!!! This is the address we will ship to and you may not change it.
Note: If you made a purchase through the website, you will not receive a survey since you filled one out upon checkout.
I have been in contact with my logistics company everyday asking for shipping updates and the status of getting our December planners here. They arrived at the Los Angeles port on December 10 but have been delayed due to the strikes and lack of personnel at all west coast ports, especially Los Angeles and Long Beach.
This isn't just affecting us, this is affecting all importers and exporters that use West Coast ports, which accounts for 40% of all US imports.
Literally billions of dollars of import goods are sitting at the harbor, even huge companies like McDonald's and Lululemon are feeling the effects of the strike and unsettled labor disputes.
"Businesses big and small have been looking at ways to either ship cargo by air or divert goods to other ports to bypass the West Coast congestion, caused by what port officials call a “perfect storm” of issues, including the lack of available chassis and unresolved contract talks between West Coast dockworkers and their employers.
That “perfect storm” has caused the ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach, the nation’s two busiest seaports handling 40 percent of U.S. imports, to lose business to competing seaports such as ports in Oakland, Georgia, others on the East Coast and even Canada, officials said."
This whole situation has been a disappointment, especially after all of the planning that has gone into trying to get these planners to you all on time. This is something we simply could not for see, as a strike like this hasn't happened for 12 years.

In conclusion, although I am an optimist, I must be realistic and inform everyone again that our shipments may be delayed even longer and that December backers may receive their planners in January. We completely understand your frustration with the potential delay and we are very sorry for the delay. We will be keeping you updated as we find out any news.
Prepping All Shipping Materials Before Shipment Arrives
We are doing everything in our power to speed up the process and make the turn around time on our end as short as possible. We are printing and labeling all packaging materials prior to receiving the planners so that when we do receive the planners we are simply quality controlling, placing them into their packaging and sending them on their way to you.
