About this project
A mysterious car sits in front of a skyscraper. Two shady figures emerge. Bypassing security, they head right to the top.
Safely inside, their plans begin. Suddenly, a knife wielding madman emerges from the shadows. Though dark, one of the men
can clearly make him out: it's himself.
The Pit is a unique story that theorizes what real people would do when faced with time travel. Rather then technobabble and sci-fi, the Pit focuses the more human aspect of time travel. On the night he is going to propose to his girlfriend Amanda, magazine editor Adam is run off the road by his boss Joe.
As he recovers, he discovers a hole in the ground that brings him to a relevant point in his past. When he goes to tell Amanda, he nearly discovers her secret: she is cheating on him with Joe. Joe overhears and attempts to capitalize on the discovery, going into his past to make himself rich. As Adam slowly discovers this, he nearly gives up all hope in a last-ditch attempt to stop Joe and win back
Our crew of filmmakers have a lifetime of combined experience. With knowledge of the most cutting edge equipment and
dozens of awards, our crew is among the most talented in the Midwest. The Pit will shot with a RED EPIC camera and Cooke lenses.
This is the same camera that was used to shoot Prometheus, Girl with Dragon Tattoo, and Star Trek: Into Darkness! We've been searching
for perfect locations and now have all of them, including an office building and a rural road. Our script is 19 pages long, which will
make for a great and tension filled 20 minute film. Our goal is a gripping piece of cinema that you'll be thinking about days.
What's the money going toward?
your help, we will use the money raised to rent our production
equipment, amazing locations, and incredible talent. In addition,
we will be buying basic needs like catering, contingency funds, and more! We've worked so hard to get everything together, but we can't
pull the trigger without some extra help.
Risks and challenges
Our main challenge will be finding and paying the best actors we can to carry our story. Luckily, our talented crew members have the
connections necessary to make this a possibility. In addition, we will need to rent additional lighting and sound equipment. We'll also need some old age makeup for the last scene!
We'll be working hard to fulfill all the rewards in a timely manner and are excited to do so! We especially look forward to creating
some Russel Crowe musicals!
