About

The Pitch
The Ethics of Dragon Slaying is designed to teach children simple morality issues in a fun and exciting way! The brave knight, Sir Geoffrey Von Dung, learns that he should question things he is asked to do if he thinks they are wrong. Because sometimes a dragon is a dragon and sometimes a dragon is just a good mate that wants to make you breakfast.

The Ethics of Dragon Slaying is a story written by Andrew Reddin and illustrated by Linda Yew. With help from an awesomely dedicated support team!

That’s me! I wrote The Ethics of Dragon Slaying one day as proof to a friend that a children's book could be entertaining while still carrying an important message. A few years passed while Sir Geoffrey and his friends languished on my hard drive before I met Stephen from Code Red Four. With his help and connections The Ethics of Dragon Slaying began to grow and change into what I had always wanted it to be, an amazing  book with awesome illustrations that will entertain kids while teaching them the value of questioning authority and power of creating your own morals.

A little bit about me. I’m a writer/poet/geek from Duncan, OK. I've been writing since I could hold a pen and writing well since I realized not all of my characters had to have the same name.

Illustrator :
Linda Yew

Linda is a versatile illustrator from Singapore. She employs a wide variety of mediums and styles ranging from realistic to abstract. She especially enjoys working in traditional art forms and experimenting with watercolor and ink. Her art is often characterized by whimsical, humorous creations, as seen in 10 Sleepless Sheep for Woolly Nights, a book that won her The First Time Writers and Illustrators Publishing Initiative Award in 2008.

Linda has a passion to help youths acquire a love for reading and has taught High School English Language and Literature for 8 years. Her classroom lessons often integrate Art and Literature as she tries to bring words to life through visual imagery. She was delighted to help her students put together SEEDS, a book of poems and drawings, in a collaborative effort to raise funds for a special needs school in their community. She has also organized book reading activities in neighborhood libraries. In her free time, she designs cards for various companies and voluntary organizations. She also takes great pleasure in writing and illustrating children's books for her adorable little girl.

Narrator, music, sound effects:
Jonathan  Jones                                                                                       Jonathan is a very diverse Voice Over Talent, with years of experience as a professional Entertainer and Performer in Orlando, Florida. He works out of his home studio as an audio engineer, and provides high quality audio. His specialties are Animated Characters & Cartoons, but he also provides voices for narrations, audiobooks, commercials, and more. He also has the ability to create Creature Sounds and diverse SFX with his voice.

Jonathan grew up in North Carolina with a big passion for playing video games and watching cartoons and animated movies. That passion blossomed into the desire to perform & bring characters to life. Watching the magic of creating characters from his childhood inspired him to work as a performer & entertainer. He has worked as a costume and mascot performer for Theme Parks and various clients in and around Orlando, Florida for about 7 years, and now lives in Jacksonville, FL pursuing the art of Voice Acting & Audio Editing/Production. He also currently volunteers at Wolfson Children's Hospital in Jacksonville, FL performing as their big, fluffy mascot, Wolfie, putting dozens of smiles on children's faces and helping them AND their families to overcome hard times.

Below is a sample of Jonathan's amazing work on The Ethics of Dragon Slaying!
