Your digital download of ON THE ICE and other updates

Hi everyone!

I'm so pleased to share the good news that if you donated $15 or more, you all should have received your digital download of ON THE ICE today via email.  In the email you will receive instructions on how to download the film.

Your other gifts will be shipped to you soon.  Please be sure that you have filled out the survey that we sent to you.  Make sure to give us a current shipping address as well as your current email address

If the shipping address you give us is not up to date and things get returned to us we can't guarantee shipping everything again at our expense.  Avoid the headache and please make sure that your shipping address is exactly correct with no typos!  Your DVD, t-shirt, poster, postcards, giclée still, etc., will all be coming to you within the next few weeks as long as we have your current and accurate shipment information and correct email address.  If you are moving soon, please think ahead and give us a more reliable address where your items can be delivered.

The theatrical release has been a complete thrill.  It has exceeded our expectations in every way.  We've screened in 24 theaters and counting.  I hope that you and some of your friends were able to see it on the big screen and celebrate your involvement in our film.  This release was possible because of you and we continue to be exceptionally grateful to all of you 840 backers.

Thanks also for your patience.  We had to wait until today to send you your digital download of ON THE ICE, but we know it will be worth the wait.  Pop some popcorn and get ready for some suspense in the Arctic.

If you'd like to continue to help, spread the word to your friends and community about our digital release on iTunes and many other digital outlets.  The best way to spread the word is to direct people to iTunes or tell them to use this link:  http://itunes.apple.com/us/movie/on-the-ice/id516472270 .  If you are a part of a company or community group that might be interested in our film, please post that link on Facebook or Tweet the link and include @iTunesMovies

Give me a heads up if you do post by emailing me at info@ontheicethemovie.com.     The more I can prove to iTunes that people are posting and tweeting about ON THE ICE, the longer they will support our release and give us good placement on iTunes.  It really makes a difference.

We're excited for you all to receive and enjoy your other gifts as well.  I'll give you a heads up when everything goes out.

All our best,

Cara

See you this weekend?

Hi everyone!

First let me apologize if you've gotten this information already through our mailing list.  I want to make sure I reach out to everyone and there is some overlap...but it's worth it!  ON THE ICE IS OPENING IN THEATERS THIS FRIDAY!  I'd like to say for one last time in all caps with several exclamation points...WOOHOOOO!!!

Because of all of you we are able to commit to releasing the film in 16 theaters so far.  We are still confirming more theaters and we'll see if we can expand it further.  It has grown beyond what we had imagined was possible and the response from theaters thus far has been exceptionally enthusiastic.  We are so grateful to all of you for helping us make this happen.

For those of you who live in the New York City area, Anchorage or Fairbanks, your chance is finally here to see ON THE ICE!  I'm writing to ask that you please join us this weekend in the theaters.  We want to celebrate with you, and your support this first weekend will be hugely powerful in terms of how long theaters will be willing to keep our film playing.  PLEASE COME THIS FIRST WEEKEND IF YOU CAN!!

A Halloween surprise

Hi everyone,

So during the course of doing our Kickstarter campaign, a good friend of ours introduced us to a crazy new iPhone app.  We made the following video using it, but then decided against posting the video during the campaign for reasons we think you'll understand.  But now, in honor of Halloween, we thought we could share it with you.  Be warned...it is not for the faint of heart, nor is it for little kids.  (We're not joking about that.)

Very quick update:  We are strategizing our release of ON THE ICE for February next year and we'll be able to announce our dates and details soon!  Also, you'll be receiving a questionnaire in reference to all the incentives. Questions like, "What's your t-shirt size?" etc.

But anyway, we hope all is well with all of you.  Happy Halloween....

Cara & Andrew
