Funding for this project was cancelled on the 7/4/2017. Words from the creator:
"This was my first Kickstarter and during the campaign I realized things I could improve both with the structure of the campaign as well as the game itself. I decided to cancel, take the lessons I've learned and re-launch Magmeda Monsters in the not too distant future. It will be a better campaign for a new, improved version of the game and I'm excited to show it to you. /André"

Magmeda Monsters is a strategic battle card game for 2 players. The game is easy to learn but requires lots of practice to master because of the vast number of card combos and interplay of different mechanics. One player fights with the Oppression Deck, full with ruthless demons and dark magic. The other player will fight for Magmeda's freedom with the Liberation Deck, calling upon various creatures to form strong synergies against the dark forces.
The game features 2 decks with 18 beautifully illustrated Monster cards and 21 Skill cards in each. All the cards are unique, there are no doublets of any card. The decks have their own, polarized play styles that represent the two armies waging war on each other for the fate of Magmeda. The game box also includes rules and other game components such as various tokens.

The game takes place in the mysterious galaxy Magmeda, filled with strange planets and magic, and even stranger creatures. The video below gives you an insight in the currently unstable situation in Magmeda.
I have lived with the Magmeda Monsters universe for more than half my life. The structure, history and current conflict in the Magmeda galaxy have been built in my head while I've been working, playing, eating or trying to fall asleep. Some of the game's characters I created when I was only 12 years old and they have stayed and evolved with me as I have grown older.
However, it is impossible to squeeze in the whole story of Magmeda into the actual game, there is simply too much content. That's why I came up with the Planet cards. The Planet cards are a Special Edition set of cards ONLY available to backers of the Magmeda Monsters Deluxe pledge on Kickstarter. As my thank you for believing in and supporting this project, I want to give you a deeper insight into the galaxy I've created through the Planet Cards.
*Note* The buffs from the Planet cards are intentionally relatively small since they are not supposed to give the player a big advantage against someone who doesn't have Planet cards - but once in a while they might give you the extra edge needed to win a really close game!

My name is André, I'm a 25 year old guy from Sweden. I was 12 years old when I started working on this game. At the time I was inspired by card games like Pokémon and Yu-Gi-Oh! so I started drawing my own "monster cards". This became a hobby of mine that I kept as the years passed.
In the autumn of 2015 I decided to try and bring the game to a larger audience, so I started reworking the game from the bottom up. 1,5 years passed before I felt that the game was ready to be revealed to the world - and that brings us here!
Risks and challenges
1,5 years have passed since I started thinking about taking this project to Kickstarter. Practically every single day since then, I have thought about what I need to do to make this project successful and how to do it. Of course I didn't have the answers to all those things, so I went searching for them. I have researched thoroughly and talked with many Kickstarter project creators about everything from marketing and production to shipping and fulfillment. I have read about as many pitfalls as I can to prevent them from happening and I decided quite early to not launch this Kickstarter before I felt like I had everything under control.
I'm not saying there will be no risks and challenges, but I am saying that I have done my utmost to prepare for and prevent any eventual problems, and at the moment, I really can't name any specific area of concern.
