is the world’s most compact underwater photography housing for your iPhone. It is designed so you can set it up in seconds and never miss an awesome moment.
And the coolest part is it’s the first case to make your touchscreen fully functional underwater.
Our patent pending AirScreen makes your iPhone fully functional under water. It is made of two layers of durable clear film that create a low-pressure air pocket.
Usually touch screens don’t work underwater or when wet because they detect an error when there is contact on the whole surface instead of just the small area of your fingertip. Now we just let your fingers push through and clear the rest of the screen. This lets you select your focus point underwater, pinch to zoom, switch between photo/video mode, and even use all your other apps. You can even share your photos from right there. No need to leave the water or take out your phone.
The same amphipac houses the last four iPhone models. That way you can share it with your friends and family members and you don't have to worry when you upgrade to the latest one.
You can use your iPhone when wet just as if it was without a case. The materials used even carry sound very well so you can even take a call or listen to music.
Never miss a cool moment with your kids and pets. Why limit yourself to dry land or buy some pricey gear for that?
Of course it’s also equipped with a dome port for those amazing over/under shots.
Dome ports are all the rage with GoPro enthusiasts and DSLR professionals. And rightfully so. They help you create amazing shots you could never achieve with the small lens of compact cameras. This way you can easily catch the water line to capture both worlds in your picture.
We made the dome scratch-proof so we didn’t need a bulky lens hood getting in the way of our pictures.
You’ll want all the light hitting your lens that’s possible while you’re filming underwater. The dome ensures that light strikes your camera’s lens more evenly, making your pics much sharper and more vibrant.
And just as an extra plus the air inside the dome makes amphipac float, so you won’t have to worry about losing your phone.
There's a bunch of activities we do in the water but not all of us want to buy some extra gear just to document the experience. On the other hand we all thankfully already have a great camera sitting in our pockets, and it serves us quite well outside.
Even better. With our iPhone we have all those pictures right at our disposal to browse through, share, and edit. No need to review them on another screen or transfer to another device to use.
Lately phone makers have been doing everything they can so you can access the camera app as quickly as possible. And so are we.
This was the center of our design process: making the user experience as smooth as possible.
We managed to get rid of all the frustrating moving parts and make amphipac load up in seconds.
Using a good old simple and time-tested O-ring seal also means amphipac is the safest place for your iPhone to be.
Two moves is all it takes. Pop in your phone and lock it with the handle. That’s it!
Now you can pack light when snorkeling and discovering the beauties of our oceans. No need to gear up with some fanciful contraptions in order to take some of this magic home with you.
The snug shape of amphipac ensures that the water temperature continuously cools your phone, keeping it from overheating during longer sessions.
The photo app usually makes you iPhone heat up quite a bit. Some housings have a thick layer of air around your iPhone, acting as an insulator and causing it to overheat.
You'd probably prefer it to work when you need it.
You'll find all these features very handy when exposed to the hot summer sun all day long.
We have designed amphipac with an every day user like us in mind. It's a lightweight case that makes great photos. We wanted to make it sturdy enough to deal with fun active use, light enough to carry everywhere, buoyant so you don't loose it and of course make it work under water.
Most of us spend our fun time in water near the surface. Most waterproof cases will only allow you to go a couple feet deep for half an hour. We did much better than that. But amphipac is still not made for die hard divers. It's intended for snorkeling, family fun, sports activities and majority of us who like to go just a few meters deep.
That's actually where we started. We saw there's a lot of cases that don't allow you much to do. On the other hand there are pricey contraptions made for pros. There was nothing in between.
Of course we went through quite a few versions before nailing it. We wanted as few moving parts as possible and we ended up with none. We spent a year removing everything that was unnecessary and refining every last detail.
Anyone who has ever developed a product knows that there’s a long way between the prototype and actually launching on the market. That’s why we wanted to be extra sure about getting you guys an awesome product for an awesome price AND being able to fulfill it quickly. All our tools and molds are done already and production is all set up. So when our campaign is funded, we’ll start cranking out amphipacs, and you will get yours before next season begins.
There's a range of waterproof cases out there. And also quite a price range. On the higher end they can get really pricy and you have to buy an extra camera to make under water pictures. Sure they allow you to go really deep but let's face it not many of us ever do.
Given that you already have a great camera in your pocket you can select among more compact cases. But those won't make you feel confident that your phone is protected. More importantly they are not meant to make great photos.
And most importantly none of them will make your touchscreen work under water.

Risks and challenges
We understand the risks involved with production of a physical product.
That's why we have produced all our tools and moulds for plastic injection already. Our production line is all set up. We wanted to be extra sure about delivering amphipac on time and in top quality.
Another matter that can usually cause delays is not being able to produce as many as there are backers. This is the reason we presented our rewards in batches because we know how many we can produce in that timeframe.
We have quite some experience in this field so we tried to minimize the risks before even entering this campaign.
The third risk involved is worldwide shipping. We are working with some of the best partners and both inbound and outbound shipping times are calculated into delivery date. With some time to spare.
