THE DOG STUDIO
A new publishing venture that seeks to revolutionize the way dogs are treated on greeting cards.
The Dog Studio is a new venture by acclaimed dog portrait photographer Amanda Jones and designer Melissa Tatge, who also happens to be her sister. For 20 years Amanda has been traveling the US creating beautiful portraits of dogs while Melissa has been building her graphic design business. With a vast collection of Amanda's images and Melissa's design sense, we plan to create and publish a fresh collection of dog greeting cards and notecards.
Your backing of this project will do two things:
1. Raise the funds necessary for the first round of printing
2. Get our products to the National Stationery Show held at the Jacob Javits Convention Center in New York City.
We've been working hard at developing greeting cards and stationery that we think you will love: birthday cards, love cards, famous quote cards & sympathy cards. We'll be launching our line with 48 gorgeous greeting cards and 48 Dog Packs — breed-specific correspondence cards. We plan to release a few dozen new products each quarter to keep our look fresh.
We are offering a fun set of rewards for backing our project:
Limited Edition Kickstarter Dog Pack:
Amanda has specially chosen the images for the Limited Edition Dog Pack that will be given as a reward for many of our levels. She decided to give the images a theme and chose the tennis ball. For many dogs, including her own Dachshund, Benny, it is an obsession. These images are all of dogs with the balls in their mouths. Ready to go, just like us with our card line! Here are the images that will come in the special Dog Pack
Available prints from Amanda's portfolio can be viewed on this page.
Our Trade Show Booth Design:
Join us as we work hard to get these produced and head to New York for the big show where we will be enthusiastically launching our line! It is going to be a fun and rewarding adventure. We hope you will come along for the ride.
Thank you for considering our project.
Stay in touch, and see you around The Dog Studio!

Risks and challenges
Our biggest risk will be in getting these cards into a competitive market. We are targeting a niche market, which can always prove tricky. However, we have some solid contacts in the pet industry which will help with our efforts. We are ready for the challenges this new venture presents!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
