Art and Acknowledgments
When I started making Moonshine Run. I knew that I wanted high quality art to help give the game that extra polish. I contacted Eric at Starcat Games to help me out. As you can see, the finished art is perfect for this game and I've already contracted him to do the art for two others games. click through to Starcat Games click through to Starcat Games
There are many manufacturers out there that will offer you their service and leave you to figure out what to do by yourself. Chris at My Game Printed went beyond that and helped me fine tune the game to get the best quality out to you at the cheapest price.
REVIEWERS, PLAY TESTERS AND PROOF READERS
Above is the list of Reviewers who played the game in it's finished phase. They were the lucky ones. Over the course of the last 3 years, I have forced my game onto friends, students and poor beggars alike to get it to the current state. Amber L. was my first proof reader, who was ready to strangle me from all the mistakes I made with grammar and spelling. Dale B. took up where she left off and even helped me set up this KS. Mike P. Kelly and Dob H. were among the first group to see it and play it when it was a baby game. Marco T. Robert M and Kissy T. were among the final group to see it's finished work. Without the help of each of these people, I wouldn't be able to get this game out to you.
BOARD GAME MENTOR
That is the best way that I can describe these next two people. Erick (from Starcat Games) put trust into me when he heard my game idea and despite the fact that I didn't have the money for the art, he worked with me to get the art done and encouraged me when I was ready to give up. He was like a rock there that I could beat my ideas across and get stuff ironed out. Aaron, from Arch Nemesis Games, helped me out after I went through a really dark time in my life. After his own game was successful on Kickstarter, he was able to assist me and get me going in the right direction. Without the help of these two, I most likely would have given up.
Risks and challenges
With any Kickstarter, Moonshine Run has a risk of not being funded. If Moonshine Run doesn’t get funded this time, I will go forth with a Rally Plan, where they print only those that are ordered. However, this will bring up the price for each individual game. So, just like you, I want to get it funded.
Delays in manufacturing could occur, however Chris at My Game Printed is always available to talk with me to get the game out there and I know he will be on top of his crew to get the highest quality game out as fast as possible.
Lost in the mail… I don’t like to admit it, but one of the Review copies of Moonshine Run has gotten lost in the mail and never made it to the reviewer. Luckily I had an extra to send him. Once Moonshine Run is successfully funded, there will be plenty extra copies in case one gets lost in the mail. If your copy of the game doesn’t arrive or arrives damaged, contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org and I’ll get you an extra copy. (Yes, I will ask for pictures of the game if it was damaged.) Each game will have a tracking number that I will send you as soon as the game leaves the warehouse.
