Hope you are all doing well. We received a lot of feedback, especially on our media appearance on German TV! Thank you, guys. Anyway, here is our latest news and insights:
First off, we want to share the great experience we had at the Chicago Dental Society 153rd Midwinter Meeting. We had an awesome three days full of exciting people, fresh and stunning brands, and lots of technology and innovation gathered in one place. We were so excited to be part of this big event and had some great interviews with professional journals and specialist magazines. They will pick up on Amabrush and publish their thoughts and insights on us! So keep a lookout for this! Also, we have connected with even more dentists and hope to have some great cooperation moving forward in the future!
- Why does the product/design look different?
The fact that we have changed our design shouldn’t be new to you, as we mentioned the modifications in an update last year! The shooting for the German TV show “Das Ding des Jahres” was in November. Prior to the TV air, we had to sign an NDA, so we were totally forbidden to show anything or even talk about the “new” Amabrush.
In order to optimize the product functionality, we made some amendments to the aesthetics. Although many of you favor the original “round, ball-like” Amabrush, this facelift has allowed us to offer you the best possible balance of quality, usability, and effectiveness in a compact and efficient product footprint. The Amabrush you saw on TV and our website is the new and improved device.
We made it even better!
Some of you have asked us how “automatic” is this new toothbrush as you have to now press two buttons before brushing your teeth. Please keep in mind that the main benefit/point of Amabrush is brushing your teeth in only 10 seconds!
The automatic part is just secondary. You’ll still save a lot of time with two buttons to press! The automatic part is pumping the toothbrush into the mouthpiece with the push of a single button. The toothpaste will then be spread out evenly. No more tubes and manual applying! Press another button and your device will be turned on to brush your teeth completely hands-free in just 10 seconds!
- Are there no refillable capsules anymore? Where are the add-ons I have ordered?
The refillable pods are only available for you, our early backers! It’s a special goodie and a thank you for supporting us (as mentioned during our campaign). The online shop is still in progress, as we are constantly updating this. We will set up a Kickstarter-Login on our website, where you can reorder refillable pods and toothpaste bottles (with a -15% discount!) This will just be visible to you.
The manual for diluting your own toothpaste will be also available as a white-paper on our website. As we are still finalizing the add-ons, photos from the UV-Station, Traveller Case, etc aren’t available just yet on our website. Don’t worry, they definitely didn’t just vanish (!) :-). You will also receive the storage for two mouthpieces if they were in your initial pledge!
- Why did other people already received their Amabrush unit? Why are you selling on Amazon?
We are still being asked why the Amabrush is already available on Amazon and other 3rd party platforms. We have received many emails with complaints from customers who actually received a counterfeit/fake product. Those dealers are happy to copy our design concept yet sadly don't care at all about quality or functionality.
We also ordered them and tried some of them ourselves, and we can seriously say that those products don't work at all. Please note: We do not have any partner distributors and we are not selling the device anywhere else except on our official online store. So if you have found “the Amabrush” elsewhere, we can assure you it’s a fake!
- What’s the current status?
We are in constant talks with our suppliers; meeting with them several times a week. It’s a long road and decisions, as well as negotiations simply can’t be handled in one day. Please trust us when we say we have your best interests at heart. We want to deliver you a really high-quality product and are investing more time making the right decisions now so that we can save time later. We are on it!
Last but not least, if you have written us an email or private message, we kindly ask you to be patient. We receive tons of messages daily and make every effort to respond as soon as possible. But of course, it can be a bit of a challenge to keep up with them all. In the meantime, we are also working on an elaborate FAQ/support system and a discussion forum for our website which facilitates the “Questions and Answer” section and should provide you instantly with the answers you are looking for.
