Frequently Asked Questions
At the end of the kickstarter we get to send out a survey. That is typically used to gather back info: shipping address, rewards, add-ons and such. There will be a field called "promocode" and that's where you can add it :)
We have trailed promocodes through our podcasts and interviews. Check out our upates, or ask the other backers for details.Last updated:
28mm. That said, "28mm" is more like 32 or 35mm nowadays, so what does this really translate to?
A human sized miniature is 32mm to the eyes. That the same scale as most modern gaming systems and miniatures. A mu is about 20mm tall, a golem 45-65mm, all at the same scale.
We at Torn LOVE our miniatures, we play Tabletop games all of the time, and we want you to be able to use these miniatures across different gaming systems and into your roleplaying gaming!Last updated:

Firstly, just let me say that the wonderful thing about crowdfunding is the ability to connect with an audience much earlier in the process. You get to see what we are doing way before it is locked in stone, and we get to receive your questions and feedback. I see that as a very valuable part of the process. So these rules are the end point of our playtesting and closed-group Q&A, *BUT* I do not consider them to be final. I want your feedback, I want your input. If you have questions, it is an opportunity for us to add clarification. If you have a suggestion, send it our way and perhaps we can incorporate it. This is your chance to have a say right at the beginning! We'll collate all of your comments and will refine the rules as needed after the Kickstarter has ended. This is a non-illustrated 11x8.5 PDF. The final rules will be 11x11 and rich in example images and artwork. We can't go into that stage yet until we have all of your feedback and tweaks have been made.Last updated:
On 3/21 we announced free shipping worldwide. The catch is that Kickstarter does not allow us to edit a reward (dollar amount, wording or shipping) after people have backed it. That's fair - can you imagine what some creators could do if they could change the reward contents AFTER people have backed it? o.O
But now we have free shipping and some rewards still require it. The good news is that there are two simple solutions:
1) Say that you are in the US.
2) Pick a lower reward, but keep your pledge $ amount where you want it (i.e. for the rewards, add-ons, and minus shipping)
At the end of this kickstarter we are sending out a survey to all backers to ask what they want reward-wise, add-ons, and get the correct shipping addresses, so regardless of what you picked during the kickstarter you can then tell us exactly what you want.
We have to do this anyway due to the add-ons, it's a normal part of wrapping up the kickstarter, so it isn't going to add any confusion and will give you the flexibility to ignore shipping in one of those two ways.Last updated:
The miniatures in the core set are two forms of hard plastic: HIPs and Polysterene. This is the opposite of the "bendy plastic" that you find in whizkinds, WotC miniatures and is identical to Fantasy Flights DUST range. Both plastics hold great detail. One of them is slightly harder and is used on the big miniatures and weapons, while the slightly softer plastic is for small bodies. All miniatures in the core set are pre-assembled and unpainted.
The mini-stretch miniatures are in resin.
The Behemoths will be a mixture of resin and metal - mostly resin, but with small fine pieces (like chains or spikes) being in metal.Last updated:
