Dev Update 2: New Forums + Private Forum Backer Access, upcoming livestreams & more!
Here come the forums!
Hope everyone had a great weekend! Today we’d like to introduce you to a brand new forum to interact with us throughout the development process. Head on over and check it out!:
Right now, you should be able to see the public section of the forum, which contains boards for general HFA discussion, off-topic discussion, and a section to document and carry out community contests and public livestream events. For some of you, though, there are a couple of private sections dedicated exclusively to your tier level.
Private Backer Access
One of those sections is for people who pledged at the Private Demo Tier ($50), where you'll eventually get access to the demo when it comes out. We'll be able talk about it then, but we can meanwhile chat about anything you want to know about the game in the private section, or in the private livestreams we'll bring to you to show you how the game is moving along!
The other section is for people who pledged at the Elite Backer Tier ($150) and above. In here you'll be able to get your hands on all of the game's alphas and help us out by giving feedback and reporting issues, along with contributing with any ideas you might have that we could pick up and use in the final game! There are also several boards for us to discuss the particulars of the game's mechanics (such as the game's world, enemies, spells, accessories and more). You'll get access to the Private Demo boards as well.
If you are a $50 tier backer or above, head over to the forums and:
- 1. Register your username
- 2. Go to the link below to request group permissions and select your respective Membergroup. You'll be asked for your Kickstarter email/nickname, or your Paypal email/transaction ID. After you have provided the necessary information, we should have you approved shortly.
Please don’t request group membership if your pledge doesn’t entitle you access to one of the private groups. Membership requests must be processed manually, and making us pore over more requests than we need to will just take time away from everything else we have to do.
Small update now that the final day for changes pledges has passed: we received a total of ~$229,000 from the Kickstarter campaign! This means that nearly 99% of you came through with your pledges (compared to a failure rate generally between 2-3% for most Kickstarters), and we couldn't be happier. Along with the ~4k we've collected via PayPal, we're just north of $10,000 short of our 3DS stretch goal, and we promise we'll do everything we can over the next couple months to hit that goal.
Remember to check out @hfagame to get the latest and more frequent updates about the game. Sometimes it is easier to post smaller things over there, so follow us if you want to stay up to speed with what we're up to! Also, feel free to tweet any questions you might have our way!
