Dicetopia is a quick strategy game for 2-4 players with a playtime of 20-30 minutes. The game is available in english, french and german, and introduces a fresh mix of area control, worker placement and secret objectives!
Try your luck in the merciless city of Dicetopia and send out your agents to take over neighbourhoods, snatch loot, perform shifty actions and carry out sneaky missions!
It's a small game that offers a lot of possibilities and tons of variation with 10 different factions, 40 unique objectives, 10 scenarios and a variable dice setup!
Dicetopia will come with a rulebook and the content listed below, all packed in a convenient, small box (approx. 220x135x35mm / 8,7x5,3x1,4 inch), very friendly for shelf space and easy transportation!
All add-ons are available in English, French and German, and may be added to every Dicetopian pledge level.
Please note, all displayed components in the campaign are non-final. The design, color and size shown here may differ from the final product.
All unlocked stretch goals are included in the Dicetopian level pledges! The unlocked factions will not come with the standard edition of the game.
On players' turns they will deploy one of their agents to a neighbourhood in the city. This single move will determine which neighbourhood they'll control, what resource they’ll collect and what action they’ll perform.
In Dicetopia you don't simply go to a place to collect something, you always have to consider these three aspects when taking your turn.
Please allow the GIF-sequences below to load for a visual demonstration!
When all agents have been deployed after 6 rounds, the ultimate goal is to score the highest points based on die resources, domination of neighbourhoods and secret missions.
There are 40 missions in the game, each with different risk and reward! Trying to read your opponents' agendas is an important part of the game, as well as trying to lead them astray...
In Dicetopia, no resources are spent and no workers/agents are returned to the players. The innovative and smooth swap mechanic keeps them in play by players simply swapping places between them. For all the possible actions, check out the list below! If used in the right situations, they can lead up to some very interesting synergies!
To further mix things up, your faction has a special ability that gives you a unique advantage during the game.
To add even more replayability, the game includes 10 different scenarios which change things considerably!

”Good quick filler and with lots of variability”
”Kind of like a game grenade. Where you pull the pin. And then you’re going to wait a little bit, and then it’s going to go off”
-Joel Eddy, Drive Thru Review
We have a full digital prototype of the game up and running on the wonderful board game platform Tabletopia! Go ahead and try it out right now!
Please note, this is still the prototype of the game and, unfortunately, the swapping of components was not possible to achieve with the platform, but you will definitely get a nice taste of the game!
All shipping will be made from Sweden, therefore there is no risk for additional custom fees or taxes within the EU. Outside of the EU however, we can't guarantee or be held responsible for any additional costs that may occur, such as custom fees and taxes. We will, however, send the game out in a small padded envelope and mark the shipment with the core box value of 200 SEK (25 USD) which is usually considered low value in most countries, so the risk should be minimal. But please be sure to check out your country's specific import policies to know what applies to you!
If you are a dedicated board game store you are very welcome to pledge as a Dicetopian Retailer! Shipping will be added depending on your location and proof of business is required after campaign ends. Please note, VAT will be charged after campaign if applicable to your country.
Risks and challenges
This is a passion project of mine and I will do what it takes to make it a reality, but producing a game is always a risk. Therefore, all the reward-levels have been carefully considered, taking into account expensive shipping and Kickstarter's fee from the total funding. The reason I have the goal level relatively low is because it's the minimum sum needed to make the smallest print run possible. Of course I'm hoping the interest will be big enough for the game to be a bigger production. So your support will determine what kind of production this will be!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
