Howdy there backers,

Another week down so it's time for another update to show you the project's progress.

Firstly, as mentioned in previous updates, mass manufacturing continues until we receive the final production samples for approval in early March. This means we expect Smiths of Winterforge to start making it's way to freight in mid-March, with the intention for the games to get on the relevant boats by the end of the same month.

With a lot of moving pieces on that front, we want to hold off on locking in expected fulfilment dates until we're confident it's on the sea.

In the meantime, you can now get your Smiths of Winterforge fix on Tabletopia!

That's right backers. Smiths of Winterforge is now available to play in a digital format on Tabletopia. Keep an eye out here next week because we will be letting you know how you will be able to play a game of Smiths of Winterforge with one of us from Table Tyrant Games.

That's all for this week folks. As always, thanks for backing, and don't forget to keep your address up to date at the Kick'd pledge manager.

      Hey @Cole,

Sorry for the delay in getting back to your comment. Let's go through it piece by piece:

Setup is the same as a 2 player game.

Thanks for finding that error. We'll add it to our errata document.

I have confirmed this with Aaron. Yes, you get the bonus.

You are correct. Events and Crew effect stack. So an accountant with an accounting error is quite the fortuitous day indeed.

Again, yes. See above. Extra components for purchasing.

Recession is remove from game. Correct.

      I think that's everything :)

Would you guys post a video of a play through on tabletopia?

I just realized that with the release of this game on Tabletopia it is our first real opportunity to get a glimpse at ALL the cards. I haven't looked at the expansion cards yet but I am happy to report that so far none of the base game cards feature any errors that I could see. Upon attempting a solo game though I was left with a few questions.

Most obvious question comes right during setup. Additional setup has you making the event deck but what about the rest of the setup? How many contracts are revealed during a solo game? I went with the assumption it was the same as a two player game.

Also, I realized that my due diligence up to this point was not perfect for on page 13 under the solo variant rules under the Final Scoring section it says "Follow the end of game scoring procedure found on page 11..." Said scoring procedure is actually found on page 12!

Speaking of solo games and end game scoring do you get the 3 RP bonus for being the first player to complete your Royal Contract if you can complete your Royal Contract before the 15 turns are over?

Now on to a couple of questions about the events deck and its interaction with certain Crew!

If the event Accounting Error! is in play and I have the Accountant in my crew does that mean then I can get +4 when I Take Loan and pay -4 less when I Pay Loan? I'd assume yes.

If the event Market Day! is in play do I get that second component for free only once during my turn or if I take multiple Purchase Components actions do I get my second component free each time? I would assume the latter but I'll let you confirm.

Speaking of purchasing components, if I have the Trader in my crew and I move to the prime position in the Market can I then get 4 components with my first Purchase Components action? I assume yes on this one.

If the event Recession! is in play I assume when it says remove it means remove from the game not just shuffle back in to the deck, right?

Other than these few minor issues, my first solo game went over quite well. I managed to get a final score of 17!

It's usually about a month on the boat/processing, so if everything runs on time, May is probably when things will start showing up.

Smells like a May/June delivery to me.
