Campaign Update #39 - Samples due this week & Smiths at PAX Australia

This week the Rule & Make team headed to Melbourne for PAX Australia. We had a freshly made prototype copy of Smiths to show off, and it was very well received.

A lot of backers approached us and said hello. It was fun to meet so many of you.

Manufacturing Samples

We received notification that the samples are now complete and we should have them this week. Our manufacturer has provided us with a photo of the custom meeples, and they look great!

We can't wait to get our hands on these. Once we have the samples, we'll be evaluating everything to ensure it's up to our high standards before giving our manufacturer the green light to proceed.

Stay tuned for some detailed photos next week.

Happy to see progress coming along... also annoyed that I somehow missed you at PAX Aus... Would have liked to see it, but ah well, I'm sure I will have it soon enough.

Agree with the below posts about the Meeples, the hammer they are holding looks like it will get broken if not taken care of.

@Greg - thinking about the same thing. I had this small issue with the custom meeples from the viking helmets on Champions of Midgard. Those horn didn't last long.

I'd be interested to know how easy it is to break the hammers off the meeples. Are they robust enough to last? This will be the last chance for you to do a slight redesign to them, to ensure they're going to break in play.

@Danilo Di Maio: At least they're keeping us informed of the progress that is being made. It's a lot worse if we weren't getting these updates :)
