Campaign Update #9 - Solo Variant unlocked! Custom Meeples are close!

There are only 3 days to go until Smiths of Winterforge finishes up here on Kickstarter and your work pushing the campaign means the final product just keeps getting better.

Stretch Goals

The Solo Variant has been unlocked. This means that every copy of Smiths of Winterforge will come with a special event deck and ruleset for you to prove to yourself that you're the best blacksmith in Winterforge. Each event has an effect that lasts for the round, some of which will give you a little boost, others which will slow you down. You have to adjust the best you can though because there is a limit to how many rounds are played and only you will be responsible for the title you earn at the end.

The next in line is the Custom Meeple upgrade. We're only $1000 off these fantastic wooden game pieces so if you keep pushing the campaign, they'll be added to every copy of Smiths of Winterforge once the campaign cracks the $55k mark.

New Stretch Goals Revealed

Once the campaign hits $60k, each copy of the game will include special player aids that will not only include a reference for the game, but also some of the lore about each of the featured guilds.

Also, when the campaign hits $65k, each copy of the game will include an upgraded custom hammer first player marker. It's not quite big enough to take care of a goblin, but will dispatch of any rodents easy enough.

Introducing: Forgehammer Clan

When it comes to forging, it's a family affair for the dwarves in the Forgehammer Clan. Every worker at the guild is a descendant of one of the founding families of Winterforge or is at least close enough to be considered family. Their forging procedures are unique to the guild and each family member learns these particular techniques through years of apprenticeship before they are free to work on contracts without supervision.

Friala Forgehammer has been the matriarch of the Forgehammer Clan for the last 100 years, ensuring her family produces some of the best pieces of Winterforge while still keeping everyone safe and healthy.

That's all for today's update. We hope you enjoyed the backgrounds of Winterforge's smithing guilds over the last updates. As we enter the final days of the campaign, don't forget to share the campaign with friends and family. Thank you again for backing Smiths of Winterforge.
