Campaign Update #6 - Shrine of Thommag Unlocked and another Stretch Goal Revealed
That's another stretch goal down! Now, onto even more goodies :)
Now that we have hit $43k in funding, every copy of Smiths of Winterforge will come with the Shrine of Thommag expansion. This expansion gives you another avenue to earn reputation points by offering a donation to the fine clerics of Thommag in return for a faith token. These tokens have a value between 1 and 3, and are jumbled together facedown at the shrine, meaning you never know how Thommag will receive your offering until you pick up your faith token. At the end of the game, if you have a higher total faith than your opponents, you'll receive a boost to your final reputation.
With the Shrine of Thommag goal breaking, the next goal in line is the 6-Player Variant. We've been playtesting it furiously behind the scenes here at TTG Headquarters and can't wait to see it unlocked and available for you to play too.
A new stretch goal is revealed
The next stretch goal is the Auction House Expansion. With the Auction House, you can forgo turning in your completed contracts to take a chance at making some more coin. Be careful though, you may not always make your money back.
Live Stream Playthrough
On Sunday night, we took to Facebook to stream a full playthrough of Smiths of Winterforge, as well as answer any questions you had about the game. We were joined by Cassie from Vault Games, Jason from Rule & Make, and Dave from Nerds of Wisdom and Gameapalooza. You can watch the edited recording of the stream above, or on our Youtube channel.
Introducing: Gilmead Jewellers
Gilmead Goldtooth has run this guild for over 500 years. He was there during the War of the Scales that saw the dragons try to take Winterforge from the Dwarves, and he was there when the Dwarves held them back. His desire to defend Winterforge wasn’t out of pride, however. It was because of the vast veins of gold and gems that lay in the rock beneath the city. Because Gilmead Goldtooth only cares for one thing… profit.
Due to his focus on money, Gilmead Jewellers attracts the most unscrupulous and immoral Dwarves in Winterforge that compete, sometimes aggressively, for promotion within the guild.
If you don’t make Gilmead money, then you’re not worth having around. So make sure you finish those contracts on time and under budget.
That's all for today everyone. Thanks so much for backing Smiths of Winterforge. We can't wait to see where you can take the game.
