Campaign Update #4 - A new expansion is added!

Posted by Table Tyrant Games (Creator)

Well done everyone! We broke another stretch goal today and are on our way to unlocking the limited edition box art sleeve. Let's get to today's campaign update.

Stretch Goals

Early this morning, the project passed the $35k mark and that means you will be getting the Thieve's Guild expansion included in your copy of Smiths of Winterforge. The Thieve's guild is an optional precinct that you can send your agent to and pay 2 coins, allowing you to randomly take a component from another player's stockpile.  You can protect yourself, though, by hiring one of the two Bodyguard crew members from the Tavern.

As announced in our previous update, the next goal to unlock is the Limited Edition Box Sleeve, a Kickstarter-exclusive sleeve of the Smiths of Winterforge box that will feature brand new location art depicting the snowy Winterforge mountain with a giant Dwarven statue. We can't wait to add this fantastic piece of art depicting the lore we've created to the final product :)

A new stretch goal is revealed

With another stretch goal breaking, another stretch goal is revealed. When Smiths of Winterforge makes it to $43k in funding, you will receive the Shrine of Thommag expansion, an optional precinct that will give you another option to earn reputation points throughout the game.

Introducing: The Red Cloaks

As the campaign continues, we thought it would be time to introduce you to the guilds of Winterforge. First up, it's the voice you heard in our campaign video, Baelor Broadiron, and his mighty Red Cloaks.

The Red Cloaks aren’t just a guild of blacksmiths. To them, forging is their calling and it’s rare for a Red Cloak to leave their service to the guild. That’s not to say that they haven’t had their bad eggs, though anyone is yet to prove the tales of Loc Littlebronze and the stolen plans of the royal crown.

Led by the mighty Baelor Broadiron, The Red Cloaks have found themselves in the favour of the royal court before, previously holding the royal contract that has now since finished its term.

The guild’s true name is Thomborne, meaning “Children of Thommag”, the Dwarven god of forge and sword, and the immense pride they hold for their guild has caused those around them to colloquially call them “The Red Cloaks” after the cloak they wear to signify their acceptance within the guild. They are so proud to wear this cloak, that many of them thread parts of their hair and beard through it, showing to the public, and other members of the guild, that they are one with the Thomborne.

That's all for today's update. Thank you again for backing us. We can't wait to see how far Smiths of Winterforge can go,

Dylan, Aaron & the Winterforge team
