A peek at the new Smiths of Winterforge

Howdy backers,

Sorry for taking so long to get back to you all. A couple months have passed since our last update but work had not ceased. We have been working away behind the scenes with the team at Rule & Make to ensure we craft Smiths of Winterforge to be the best it can be.

Now, Aaron and I are confident in saying, it is reaching that point. So, without further ado, here’s a little look at the new version :)

Updates to the visual design

Having Rule & Make on board the project meant we were able to get some fresh eyes on the game. One of the key strengths of Rule & Make is their keen eye towards visual product design especially when it comes to player experience.

Along with the Rule & Make, we have also been working with the mighty Ian O’Toole, a veteran in the board games industry who have worked on some of the most complex and intricate games to date, such as The Gallerist, Vinhos Deluxe and, most recently, Lisboa. When it comes to attention to detail, there are few better than Ian O’Toole.

One of the main goals with the collaboration is to create a cohesive visual style that complement Jamie’s brilliant art, as well as improving player experience through a revamped graphic design treatment.

When can we expect the relaunch?

This is definitely a question we’ve been asked a lot in the recent weeks. Our current estimates place us at Early to Mid March. We’re in the process of booking everything for the project video and, once we know more, you’ll know more.

That’s all for today but make sure you keep an eye on our Facebook Page for any more announcements as they happen.

Wow. That looks great and from what I see you have succeeded with that goal. Looking forward to seeing more and smacking that Back button next month.
