Alina Pizzano gowns are for the Bride looking for an elegant, sexy dress that defines them...these are not your Nana's gowns.
Who we are...
Alina Pizzano couture bridal are the husband & wife team of Jameel Haiat (Creative Development) and Alina Pizzano (Designer).
Alina grew up in Los Angeles in a Cuban family, and was greatly influenced by the creative designs and dress making abilities of her Mother, Aunt and Grandmother. She was eventually inspired to attend Otis College of Art & Design, where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Fashion Design.
Alina's venture into the bridal market was borne out of the desire to design her sister's wedding gown. With such a limited amount of custom designers available, Alina seized the opportunity to fill a niche that she knew she could with elegance, inspiration, and individuality. Her sense of romance combined with contemporary design has brought her here, where she now creates her own Collection, Couture gowns and bridal accessories.
couture (n.) - The business of designing, creating and selling highly fashionable, custom made clothing for women.
All of our gowns, whether our Bride or Client choose to go Couture or one from the Collection, are completely handmade at our Studio in Pasadena under Alina's direction in order to maintain only the highest standards of fabrication, design and fit. This, in and of itself, is unique to the Bridal Industry, as most gowns are now made in India or China. We pride ouselves on keeping as local as possible by purchasing most of our materials right here in Los Angeles.
Elegant, Sexy...yet Comfortable!
Alina's gowns are all made of the finest materials any Bride could imagine, yet they are approximately 30% lighter than a typical wedding gown. In fact, even the Brides undergarment is bult into the top with boning and corseting materials (no need for a bra...)...these are not your Nana's wedding dresses.
In an intimate design setting, our Clients are actually involved from the very beginning in the creation of their gown. Through a series of one on one private sessions with the Alina, which include sketches (for our Couture gowns) and a sequence of fittings, Alina creates exquisite gowns using the finest novelty fabrics, trim and embellishments. We truly appreciate the time spent with our Brides & Clients and actually close the door to the Salon for a unique private experience!
In order to bring the new Collection to a wider market, we are looking to show at the New York Bridal Market. We will design and produce10-12 new gowns that are inspired by Classic Hollywood with a Contemporary flair for the Spring 2013 Collection. Additionally, we will be dressing our model in New York to truly show how beautiful and well fit the gowns are, along with new Look Books, fabric swatches, and other marketing info. The show is the largest in the country and attracts Bridal Boutiques, Salons, and other Retailers from all over the States as well as Internationally.
Your pledge will assist with all of the expenses associated with producing (from fabric to embellishments), marketing (from photography to printing) and launching a new Collection and help us to acheive our Project goal!
We have everything in place, including a brick and mortar Studio in Pasadena, Ca and our new e-commerce website: www.alinapizzano.com. We welcome a visit from you to just stop in and say "Hello", check out the Studio and meet us...or you can give us a ring @ 626.584.0076 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org for further information.
We are extremely passionate about what we do and absolutely believe that showing at Market will push the Collection out there and show others that there is a choice! We humbly appreciate all of your support and interest...Thank you!
Alina & Jameel
All of our gowns are made at our Studio/Salon right here in Pasadena, Ca. We are strong believers in keeping all of our processes local.
If you are unable to come directly to the Salon for fittings and meetings with Alina, we can still work via email and phone to design and create your unique gown.
Yes, of course. Gowns can be designed and created in a variety of colors, because we do it all in house. The only limitation is the fabric availability.
