About this project
I'm waayy excited to be working on 3 songs on the upcoming EP with the talented Paul Wight. After a night of hanging out, we got this crazy idea that we would take my song "Isabelle" (from 2009's Second Skin LP) and give it a 180-degree sonic spin. What has resulted is streaming below. Enjoy! And if you're a fan of all things FREE, be sure to download the mp3!
(I'm a poet and I didn't even know-it...)
Plus, Here's a FREE DOWNLOAD of "My Only One" as a small token of my BIG appreciation.
OK, now let's keep on Kickstarting this baby to $6,500 and make a 7-song EP!!! <3
READY...SET... GO TEAM ALFA!!!
This is it! A year after leaving my job and moving to L.A., I've written, re-written, and over-written dozens of brand new songs. They are inspired by the experiences, lessons and adventures that I have lived in this whirlwind year. And you know what? I am SO excited about them.
I want to get back in the studio to record my follow-up to 2009's "Second Skin" LP (yep, it's been THAT LONG! Have mercy!) But studio time, duplication, mastering, and all that jazz takes serious G's. I'm ready to foot part of the bill, but I can't do it without you! Let's make the next EP as amazing as it can possibly be. :D
Here's how it works. If I get your support in the next 30 days, you will get one of 15 sweet rewards. Donate $25 or more, and I'll let you in on live video performances of unreleased songs.
If I reach my goal, everyone who pledges will get some token of thanks (again, see Rewards list to the right). BUT ... here's the catch. If I don't reach my goal, I don't get any funding from Kickstarter. Nada. Zip. Zilch. :( But let's not think about that.
Instead, let's think about the possibilities - about how even Missed Opportunities can be good opportunities:
How, even though life can feel like a Three-Act Tragedy, the good things can still pull through...
Or.. how the number Pi is a really long one:
There will be more updates soon. In the meantime, help a sister out by Sharing, Liking, Following, and telling all your beautiful friends about how TOGETHER, a little Kickstarter lovin' can get this chica from New Jersey (and the Philippines!) a brand new EP that you, me, your mom, your sister, your bros, your homies and your grandpa can enjoy for years to come.
BIG thank you to Paul Wight for this Kickstarter video and overall assistance. Also to Faith & Jesse Duran (for letting us hijack their house lamps), Rob Bieselin, Kawehi, Mike Violago, Janice Chau and Patrick Allocca. Big-ups to Mya-Moe Ukuleles, Walden Guitars & DANSR Hamilton Stands. <3 Love love love!
