Who We Are
Mutiny Radio is an independently programmed and collectively run internet radio station based in the Mission District of San Francisco. Mutiny Radio features an eclectic mix of music, news, politics, art, comedy, and community events all broadcast live from the Mutiny Café. Mutiny Radio aims to educate and inform the public on events and culture outside of the mainstream and provide an outlet for local and independent artists and musicians.
Mutiny Radio has hosted live interviews with guests such as funk legend George Clinton, modern rockers Cut Copy, New Order's Peter Hook, comedian Wyatt Cenac, psych-rock hero Roky Erickson, and many more. We routinely broadcast remotely from Bay Area events including a monthly presence at the Oakland Art Murmur, as well as special events at the Treasure Island Music Festival, Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, the De Young Museum, and others.
In addition to our programming, the Mutiny Radio Café provides a place for the community to gather. Customers are able to watch in-café performances as well as the Mutiny DJs broadcasting live on air while enjoying coffee, tea, pastries, and free wifi – not to mention the signature Maple Bacon Latte.
What We Need
Mutiny Radio wants to continue to broadcast our unique programming and provide an open space for the community. However, we need your help to do so! We are a non-profit entity supported solely by DJ membership dues and fundraising efforts. This is why we are asking for YOUR HELP to keep the tradition of independent radio and community involvement alive. Your donation will go toward covering our rent and expenses such as internet, utilities, and studio equipment.
Most of all, your donation will help us to be able to continue making quality independent community radio.
Mutiny Radio receives 501(c)3 fiscal sponsorship from Media Alliance, a media resource and advocacy center for media workers, non-profit organizations, and social justice activists. That means your donation is tax deductible! Learn more about Media Alliance.
