Leo’s Love(s): A short film
What the heck is this movie about?
Leo’s Love(s) is a romantic comedy in the style of Woody Allen that follows Leo, a struggling writer doomed to write advertising jingles, as he meets and falls head over heels in love with Max, the girl of his dreams. Max is everything that Leo could want: she’s beautiful; she’s smart; she has a particular fondness for late 19th century French poetry; and as an actress who’s biggest role is portraying a dancing, chocolate sprinkled doughnut in a local commercial, she is very much a kindred spirit. The only problem? Leo is engaged to Rachel, a bi-polar spitfire with a penchant for violence through kitchen utensils.
Here is a excerpt from the first page of the script...
Leo’s Love(s) is the follow up to writer/director Alan Weischedel’s successful thirty-minute short “The Boyfriend”, which screened at film festivals nationwide earlier this year and was even a Finalist at the USA Film Festival.
Every dollar helps!
All of the actors and most of the crew are volunteering their time and talents because of their love for this project. We’re bringing the film to Kickstarter to ask for your help in securing a bare-bones budget – just enough to cover the costs for a camera, lighting and sound equipment, and a camera operator for our shoot. We are asking for the bare minimum that is required to film our thirty-minute short; but any money that is donated over and above our goal will go to film festival entry fees so that we’re able to bring Leo’s Love(s) to as wide an audience as possible.
One last big THANK YOU!
Thank you so much for any amount that you can give to make Leo’s Love(s) a great film. We really appreciate it! Every dollar helps, but even if you are not able to make a financial contribution, that’s okay! The biggest way that you can help us is through by spreading the word. Please share our project with your family, friends, and anyone you think might consider helping us bring Leo’s Love(s) to life!
