Risks and challenges
Kickstarter potentially presents a literal kickstart for me. Once the ball is rolling again, my touring and other income sources will allow me to regain and maintain my momentum, bringing my career back to a state of complete independence as an artist.
With the music being done, all that is needed now is for a few checks to be written and some administration work before the actual push of promoting the album begins. Bookings challenges should be minimal, as I have maintained a solid rapport with venues, promoters, and booking agents worldwide for over a decade now.
In the event of any production delays or issues with collaborators, they would be handled as usual. My collaborators are all professionals, and production is pretty much finished. At worst, delays could potentially push release from first uarter to early second quarter. Donors, fans, and media alike would all be notified of any release date shifts, in either direction for that matter.
Those worried about me slowing down due to my well-publicized 2011 heart sugery need not. I am in the best shape of my life, my health is better now than it was at the beginning of my career, and I am poised to hit the road hard to promote Built To Last. As I say on the song "Alive", I've "never felt more alive!"
