ABOUT THE FILM
Community Service The Movie all began in 2008 with Pre Production with the script. Director Joseph Kelly would spend his time in college classes writing, and writing about this one story. Its not just your average Serial killer movie, he put a solid story to it, which goes between two guys, Bob Butterfield and Billy Fouls. Billy was always the victim of abuse and teasing at his elementary school until one day, he stood up to the school bullies, one being Bob Butterfield. His act went too strong, killing one kid and wanting revenge on Bob Butterfield as Billy was taken away to a psychiatric center.
Roughly 20 years later, Billy discovers that one of his old childhood tormentors is now in charge of running community service program, which is taking place at a campground a few miles away from the psychiatric center. When Billy escapes from the institution, eight troubled teens are in for more than just a weekend of Community Service.
Auditions were held in 2009 with over 150 people attending (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zOCuFSaFAZI). Some from as far as 250 miles. In the summer of 2009, we began shooting. Shooting was suppose to end that summer but due to the weather, we had to hold back, and bring everyone back on board the following summer, 2010. After the first edit with Lost and Pacific video editor Korey Owens, we realized the film was only 55 minutes. Going back to the drawing board, Director Joseph Kelly came up with three scenes that tied in and actually added to the film. 2011, Community Service The Movie finally went over for sound and color correction.
Over 100 people were involved in this film either on camera, off Camera (Crew) or even just by Donations and Helping us Fund. We have spend Roughly over $30,000 so far for Equipment, Locations, Travel Cost, Food, Props, a Website, Marketing, along with many other things
Once the film was 95% complete, we played a sample test, 20 minutes, at the Palm Beach Student film festival winning "Excellence in the Art of Filmmaking". Summer 2012, the premiere was held in NY followed by film festival showing at Lake Charles Lousiana and Buffalo Scream Film Festival taking another award at the Buffalo Horror screams Film Festival for "Best Grind house Film."
WHAT ARE THE FUNDS FOR?
The funds raised will help us get a final copy to the distribution company and also help fans and filmmakers to become a part of this Dark Comedy Feature.
We recently got two distribution offers, to go to Netflix, Family Video, FYE, VOD, VUDU, Amazon, iTunes, Rebox, etc but they would like final touches on one of the scenes.
Finally touches for the film includes voice over for one of the scenes, Campground entrance, plus color correction and Custom DVD Menu. That means, we have to bring over 8 actors/actress to the sound studio for a 3 minute clip.
Also, extra money earned will go towards the pre production of the next script which is currently in work and also additional film festivals for the spring 2013 and fall 2013 season.

Risks and challenges
Some challenges that we may face would be getting some of the past cast members back to the studio to re do voice overs as some are now in college and other areas. If by chance we can't get everyone back for voice overs, we would have them go to a local sound studio by them and with funds, would help with travel cost and time.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
