Do you hate it when the shower curtain touches you while you're showering?
You're not alone. Everyone hates it. Now, there's an inexpensive solution. aircurv is the world's first shower curtain that inflates to give you more space in the shower and eliminate shower curtain cling.
So you might be thinking,"Don't they make curved shower rods for this problem?"
While a curved shower rod is a step in the right direction, they really don't add much space. And, most of the space they do add is above your head. Think about it, with a curved rod the shower curtain still has to angle inwards to the inside edge of the tub.
42 inches of space!
A typical shower curtain provides 25 inches of space. aircurv gives you 42 inches of space!
And we're talking elbow room space. Space where you need it, not a few lousy inches of space up over your head. Let's solve the problem with software, not hardware!
aircurv replaces your existing shower curtain or liner. It works with your existing shower rod, curved or straight, and requires no tools or permanent installation. If you move, take your aircurv with you.
It might sound crazy to talk about a shower curtain being life changing, but that's the kind of feedback we've gotten from our beta testers.
You can't really begin to imagine the amount of space until you experience aircurv for yourself.
More space in your bathroom!
Once you're finished showering, aircurv inverts so that it doesn't take up space in your bathroom. If you use a decorative fabric outer curtain, an inverted aircurv becomes essentially invisible.

• With aircurv no tools are required, just normal shower curtain rings.
• aircurv works on both straight and curved shower curtain rods.
• You can take aircurv with you when you move.
• When not in use, aircurv inverts so it doesn’t take up space in your bathroom.
• Decorative fabric outer shower curtains may still be used with aircurv.
• aircurv is constructed of heavy gauge material for durability.
• aircurv has no metal grommets to corrode.
• Each aircurv is inflation tested for 24 hours.
• Soon, aircurv will be manufactured from recycled single-use plastic water bottles.
So, you might be thinking,"Wait a minute! In these pictures it looks like the aircurv shower curtain is outside the tub. Won't I get water all over my bathroom floor?" Nope! The lower section of aircurv splits into two layers that we call panels. The inner panel goes inside the tub to keep the water in and the outer panel goes outside the tub to keep aircurv in place.
So now you're thinking,"OK smart guy, how do you get in and out of the shower?" No problem! aircurv has 12 inches of flat area on either side of the inflated section. So, you can slide the whole thing 24 inches in either direction. If you need more than that, the inflated section is flexible and you can easily push it out of your way. And, before you ask, if you need to move aircurv completely to one side, to clean the tub, or to bathe a child or pet, just open the inflation port to deflate aircurv, then slide it over like a typical shower curtain. It only takes 4 or 5 breaths to re-inflate aircurv.
One of our beta testers made a video and we LOVE it!

Risks and challenges
We've already completed the design and prototyping phases and we have produced a limited quantity of production-quality samples for beta testing. We have primary and secondary manufacturers lined up. Manufacturing lead time is 45 days. When we hit our Kickstarter goal, we place the order with the manufacturing company. No further development is required. It's a shower curtain, not rocket surgery: the Kickstarter goal is there so that we can place a large enough order with the manufacturer to get the cost down to a reasonable number and make aircurv affordable to you.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
