A Good Plan combines German efficiency with a radical approach to mindfulness – or, as we call it in German: Achtsamkeit. It’s the mindfulness diary and personal development book that helps you get your act together without asking you to exploit yourself.
Our original German book overfunded by a massive 1,268% and sold 12,000 instead of the planned 600 copies. We received a lot of emails from our users telling us the book had helped them change their lives.

The book starts with a stock take. At what juncture of your life are you right now? Where do you want to go? And most importantly, what makes you happy?
The diary for 2017 not only provides space to write down your appointments, tasks and notes. Each day also comes with a mindfulness monitor that helps you catch stress patterns before they get out of hand.
At the end of the month you get the opportunity to pause and reflect. What have you done this month? What could have been better? Did you listen to your own needs?
The fourth and final section of the book features a wide range of guest authors who share their own knowledge and experiences on how to lead a more mindful life.

We're Milena and Jan. First of all, let's make this clear: we're no experts or mindfulness gurus. But when we each started our own businesses, we both struggled to keep our work-life balance in check and increasingly worked late nights and weekends. So we began looking after each other and looked for tools and techniques to take back control. The result was A good plan. Our new approach to mindfulness was so radical that even Sir Richard Branson himself quoted us alongside with Henry Ford and Warren Buffet.

Riesgos y desafíos
Between the two of us we've run a lot of crowdfunding campaigns. We kickstarted both our first companies through crowdfunding. The original German version of A good plan was crowdfunded. And we crowdfunded two further books this year. Along the way we've made plenty mistakes.
When we launched A good plan in German last year, one of those mistakes was to pack and post everything ourselves. Not only did that result in a lot of work and hassle (not very achtsam!), but along the way Milena also accidentally sent her own A good plan off to a customer. And despite various efforts, she never saw it again.
So this year, posting and packaging will be taken care of by a local logistics provider. They will pack and send all items on our behalf in less than half the time it took us.
Another risk is that the book won’t arrive in time for Christmas. We’ll prevent that by going into print as soon as the we reach the funding goal, so that the book is ready to send off right when the campaign ends.
